It's bloomin quiet on here today, in some what bad news will we all be experiencing radical dietary change soon?
In fairness whilst I like a bit of Chilli squid, we are rich enough as a nation that the Cod and Haddock will still be available for some time yet. And even if it runs out, Lamb Vindaloo will still hit favourite status before Squid and chips!

I just adore octopus salad and had the best one ever in a superb restaurant in Ljubljana earlier this year. Always a fave in coastal regions, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Greece etc <ok>

For the number of times I eat fish and chips, I'll stick to my cod and chips thanks.

Pollock's not a bad alternative JM, but I'm with you on squid, utterly tasteless! <ok>

I trust you heard about the octopus who nipped into the Chip Inn (the one in LONG STRATTON) recently and handed over a package with the words "here's that sick squid I owe you"

Probably because unlike the Chip Inn it's not situated in the arse end of beyond on the road to Binland. It would take more than good fish 'n' chips for me to venture to bloody Long Stratton !

I can see your point but anyone who truely loved fish n chips could at least make it to the chips shop on Stafford st! If they lack commitment, even Ron's on the market is as good as the Grosvenor!

Yes BP - I called at Stafford Street on my way to the game last night. I just phone my order through, so that I get served as soon as I get there, rather than have to wait in a large queue and they were absolutely delicious and just what I needed before heading off for a pre-match beer.
