I'm praying that he's a success and then ask Stelling to replay this tyrade to Merson and Thompson when the season is over.. Thompson someone who wouldn't even go into management, and Merson someone who was as bad a gambler as he was a manager and but for luck would now be running a used car corner plot in Essex. Apologies to any car sales people but you get my gist.
Not when it's Merson and/or Thompson, thick ****er's who seemingly didn't know of Marco's achievements at Sporting and Estoril when launching into a joint tirade of how appalling it is that he should be considered for a job 'over here'. More to the point, how do dense bastards such as these two manage to continue being hitched up to the Sky gravy train?!
''Thick ****ers'' they may be but, I'd bet good money that they've forgotten more about the inner workings of football clubs than you and I know combined - like anyone else, they're allowed an opinion, you may not agree with them but I believe they make a valid point i.e. how does managing in Portugal, Greece or wherever, make you a better bet than a ''young thruster'' like Graham Alexander or Gary Rowett etc .... I say it doesn't and, in the case of Mr Silva, we won't have too long to wait to see how well qualified he is to be handed a PL job. You should mebbe bookmark this and you can welly me over the head with it when/if he achieves the (nigh on) impossible and keeps us up.
He IS keeping us up Spes, I am 100% confident of that, you can bookmark this to beat me up with if I'm wrong. I'd also say that if the Allam's are still here in six months then he'll not be signing a new contract. Something somewhere has gone on, there's no way that the Allam's are savvy enough, in a footballing sense, to get him in, it's come from somewhere else, and if that someone else doesn't own our club in six months Marco'll get snared by another PL club.
Love the confidence LB, really hope you're spot on .... come the end of the season we'll still be City supporters, no matter what.
