Detached a retina and can only see out of one ete. Keep hitting wrong keys. Need an op. (Again).

Just happened. Had it before 12 yeears ago..
Eye full of blood so everything pink and cloudy.
Eyeballs change shape become more square (shortsighted) with age and retinas can detatch.
Lookng back its been going for a while. They Wont touch it yet as blood pressyre through the roof...

If squeamish dont read,
Fix it by burning the detatched bit with a lazer usually. But mine is right at the top and they will have to freeze it.
They peel back eyelid under local anesthetic and use what looks like a soldering iron to freeze the outside of eyeball. Leaves a blind spot though..

Have to tie me to operating table as one eye is looking up at ceiling and the one they work in is basically taken out and is looking at my feet. Brain doesnt know what to believe.... Ten mins and its fixed.. Eye patch for of couple of weeks and all done.

 

Any chance of them keeping you tied to the operating table for the rest of the season?....

Its going to have to wait till bp is down., possible that might stop the bleed... But eye will still be cloudy for a few weeks if it does.... Not in a rush to have the op again....
Means i cant drive after dark so its not all bad...
