**** em. It's not desperate that we get a new keeper. Elliot is decent and Woodman is a solid, if inexperienced, back up.

 

It's an example of why some of the early deals fell through though. The price doubles for an English club thanks to the stupidity of the 'big 6' paying over the odds.

I see liverpool have bid 80m for Lamaar. They are just doing that to make the Carroll deal look reasonable.

 

So PSV only realised Newcastle were an English side after we reached an agreement with them. Sounds more like a few other clubs came looking and they thought they could get more.

 

It's teams trying it on because we are allegedly flushed with PL cash....

 

With this kind of behaviour from other clubs I'm resigned to zero additional signings before the deadline.

 

But then again, that LB (Argentinian) apparently we value him at £3.5M, they want £5M and we are playing hard ball!
