Zenyatta Gives Birth

For those of you that don't frequent my "Ask PN" thread, I am reposting this piece of news.

At 10.10pm (EST) last night, outstanding racemare ZENYATTA gave birth to her first foal: a colt by up and coming young sire BERNARDINI. The dark bay colt, weighing in at 130lb, is reported to be of good size and scope and Zenyatta has taken to her motherly duties well so far.

There is supposedly a short video of mother and son out in the ether, but I've not tracked it down as yet. For the time being, I shall post the photos that have been released:

It's now been confirmed that ZENYATTA's next mate will be TAPIT.

He won't be very familiar to a lot of European racing fans, but he has had a very successful start to his stud career, siring 3 Breeders' Cup winners in his first 4 crops. More on Tapit here: http://www.gainesway.com/horses/tapit-240.html
