Well mate hadn't seen this thread before, but I toally agree with you, and what Col wrote again. I been argueing for Cisse to be playing up there with BZ, instead of him, or wide right all season, but Cisse isn't the Cisse of last season, ! I'd still go with Cisse and hope he gets it back, or if not Mackie.

One thing I noticed watching the game last night was SWP (despite some terrible crosses and an atrocious back pass) did get in 2 or 3 very good crosses, which BZ and Cisse just about ignored. Zamora's lack of effort was disturbing, hope he's on the bench for Reading.

Zamora's not a goal scorer - and on recent performances doesn't help the cause in any way. How many of his passes go astray? How we've managed to neutralise Cisse after last season, I do not know.

Did Hughes really think an aging, injury-prone AJ was going to be our goal threat this season? Defies all logic. Certainly none of us did. Sure no one could've predicted a cruciate injury but come on, look at AJ's record.

I just thought Hughes had grabbed AJ on a free as back up for a killer coming in to support Cisse. Now it seems Hughes WAS depending on AJ. Fantasy football imo.

Result: like most aging men, Hughes has left us impotent.

Cisse may well return good with a new manager. Not starting has probably got to him and he like can't be bothered anymore.

Read some stats earlier today. Zamora won 1 out of 10 headers he even bothered challenging for whilst cisse has the most offsides to mins spent on the pitch in the prem

I don;t understand much I guess. End of last season - Mackie and Cisse seemed to be heroes for us. At Arse on Saturday - everyone around me was moaning when Mackie came on and SWP went off - why did Cisse not come on earlier I asked - cause he'd XXXX I got told. Not sure I watch the same games. I would never have sold Gorkks to Reading.

Got into an argument with a fan while warming up. Then pointed him out to stewards who took him out for a telling off. Hate grasses.

He cant jump because of his hip, yet another great decision by Hughes to go with 2 injury prone strikers and Cisse and sell our top scorer.

HH would have buried that last chance and not let it bounce off his gut.

Please tell me you're joking, Flyer. We've bought a striker needing a hip replacement...?

He needed 2 injections just to play those 10 minutes, thats how thin we are up front.

I was among others in complaining about this at the time saying we shouldnt sell HH and we should get younger forwards, its not hindsight.

North didn't notice that.
Talk about swimming against the tide!<laugh>

Shouldn't laugh really but the news that SWP isn't playing has been met with cheers and applause @CrownSceptreW12

They shouldn't have bothered.

i know but we literally had no one else, Mackie was like a fish out of water and would surely have been replaced earlier but it just goes to show the massive mistakes Hughes made, 3 old, injury prone forwards and no dominant CB.

We hardly score and cant win a thing in the air at either end.
