I understand Yuki Abe has left #lcfc and returned to Japan to rejoin Urawa Reds. Speculation Prem clubs were interested, Everton 1 mentioned

That was just tweeted by Stringer. Shame really because I liked him and he was a useful squad player and offered good versatility. He had good technical ability and a good football brain but I suppose you could argue he was always a bit too lightweight for the Championship. Also (I know it's sad but this is the way football is going) we've lost a good marketing tool for the Asian market as well.

The issue now is that it leaves us with only three fit CM's to call upon and with King's injury seemingly long-term, do we go in for another one or do we trust someone like Moussa or Oakley to step up?

Either way, good luck Yuki <ok>

Good luck to him.

He was a squad player at best IMO, never really made a certain position his own, never really had a big impact on games in general, hid when the going got tough. He has good technical skill and can pass it well on his day. He was too lightweight for the Championship though. And for every good game I can think of I can thinnk of as many pathetic performances.

We can do better.

Leeds want Richie Wellens aswell. Part of deal for Snodgrass?

I would have Snodgrass as the better player so I´m thinking Leeeeeds would want some cash too ? but yeah, a good deal if it goes ahead.

NP needs time to sort this mess out so we all need to chill & let him do his thing. It´s very simular to the PT situation except this time we have the cash to get it sorted. I wonder what the owners are thinking at the mo, what with us not going up to the prem as quick as they would of liked ?

NP needs to have a top class season next season that´s for sure.

I'd rather ship Wellens out.

Wellens is 31 (32 in March) now.

I am a little gutted about Yuki. Ok, he never gave us barn storming performances but he was steady and always prepared to put a shift in. I wish him well for the future.

Echo my sentiments. Wish him all the best. Probably work out well for him - a star in his home land, and more tele advertising revenue - plus, regular football.

No surprised to see Abe go. No better than we already have at the club. I was beginning to believe that the owners wouldn't allow him to leave, being their Asian superstar and all that, but as I said when he came in, Nige obviously demanded full control of all footballing decisions.

He was alright - not a world beater but a decent squad player.

How much did he go for or was it a mutual termination?

if leeds want wellens and cash for snodgrass, ill gladly chip in, sooner wellens is gone the better in my opinion, over the hill and had his day, we can do alot better...............

Personally I always rated Yuki, always seemed to give a good shift, steady if not spectacular. It's a shames as it seemed like he could make it into our midfield. Then again, I suppose we forget that he travelled half-way around the world to come here, so probably is just homesick. Good luck back in Japan!

Unless he left after 5pm on saturday, as i was talking to him in the highcross and he said he was in the squad for monday

Yuki is class
he would be better in the pem but im sad hes gone
im sticking with nige but to get a world class midfielder and just fritter him away we must be very confident
