Plenty of tickets available (FREE) for Monday's Under 23 game against Bournemouth at CR. So far this season, we have beaten Stoke, Saints and Newcastle; so here's hoping we can keep that run going.
Carlton Morris scored for Shrewsbury and Ben Godfrey played the whole match as well. Full round-up here: https://www.canaries.co.uk/News/news-archive/?&player=165190
Thanks Rick. This from the Edinburgh Derby on Naismith - "The forward had an early chance, but spurned the opportunity by firing wide having rounded the goalkeeper." #nothingchanges
In fairness, he hasn't had any game time lately except for the U23 match where he scored twice and provided an assist as well.
My seat when I had an ST was in row J just behind the ##river End goal and MANY times he 'had his head in his hands' when it would have been easier to score than miss which eh REGULARLY did!!!! PS - He's a WELL paid (probably OVERPAID!!!) professional footballer.
I saw him score with an excellent header after we were down to 10 men away at QPR. He showed a lot of leadership in that game where Oliveira was pretty ineffective. IMO, £30,000 (according to the Pink'un) isn't overpayment given his PL experience. I'd rather he stayed for the £260,000 we're saving on his wages, but he wanted game time.
So, our Under 18s play Newcastle Under 18s at CR in the FA Youth Cup at 7pm on Wed 7th Feb with tickets costing £3 each. http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...-cup-clash-with-newcastle-confirmed-1-5371509 I'll be there!! Our Under 23s have lost 2-1 away at Blackburn and Crowe was sent off in the 90th minute for a 2nd yellow.
Good to see DF's comments about Todd Cantwell's future and the purpose of his loan to Sittard: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/loan-switch-imminent-for-cantwell-1-5371518
So our Under 18s suffer a defeat on penalties against Arsenal - https://www.arsenal.com/fixture/under-18/2018-Jan-27/under-18-norwich-city-u18-match-report Come and watch them take on Newcastle in the FA Youth Cup on Wednesday 7th at 7pm - tickets £3.
This is a good read on what our 2013 Youth Cup Squad are doing these days: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/toffolo-exit-leaves-two-youth-cup-winners-at-city-1-5373522 Apparently they have 137 first team appearances for Norwich and 27 goals between them, obviously mostly the Murphy's.
As you like to keep an eye on your loanees I thought I'd give you an update on Remi Matthews so far at Plymouth. And the consensus is he is doing very well indeed so far. We have been on a bit of a run results wise in comparison to the early part of the season. Remi has played well to keep that run going and I don't think he is going to lose the gloves anytime soon unless the curse of our keepers comes back. Think this lad has got a decent future ahead of him and your management should consider giving him a go in your own first 11 next season. I think the lad could make it at your current level if not even higher. If your management doesn't want to give him a try then we will take him off your hands permanently if you'd like.
Thanks for the update Greeny. Remi is in a good position to be at least our back-up keeper next season, if not the starter.
The Pink'un's loanee update from the week-end: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/norwich-city-loan-watch-february-5-2018-1-5382111
One for the future - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...-on-first-team-future-with-canaries-1-5382821 He came on as a sub against Bournemouth I think it was and played 90 minutes last night and looked very useful.
Yes, Thomas came in under the radar first as a trialist until the transfer was complete. In many ways it's similar to Middleton following Murty to Rangers or Jamal Lewis switching to us a couple of years ago. You win some, you lose some.
Anyone else braving the cold weather to watch this one - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwich-city/norwich-u18s-v-newcastle-fa-youth-cup-preview-1-5384429 I've got my ticket!!!
