Great article by Spud Thornhill about our young players and the future. http://www.eveningnews24.co.uk/views/spud-thornhill-norwich-city-column-1-5352481
Sorry Dave - can't answer that!! It.s just what I was told when I went in the shop in Chapelfield this morning.
I agree canario, but it was originally scheduled for CR, but it was decided to move it when the date of the Under 18 game was known. The next Under 23 fixture is against Bournemouth and is SCHEDULED for Mon 22nd at CR, but can't get tickets yet!!!
It is possible that next season a good percentage of our first team squad would have come through our academy, even if only for a year or two, (Phillips, Thompson and Godfrey) so some thanks must go to Adams and Neill for helping to achieve this state of affairs. With Mathews, Lewis, Murphy, Cantwell, Middleton etc, it seems we finally have a system in place that is geared to success in our own small way. Are we on our way to becoming the new Southampton?
Good shout GE and it COULD happen. The first 3 (along with JM) were bought for the 'dynasty' (I'd hate to disappoint you Cromer!!) and the others have come through our own setup. (I believe Middleton was bought as a 12 year old from Northampton). Having seen all of them playing on several occasions(with the exception of Thompson), I'm sure we have the nucleus of a team there for the future.
There was a time where the 'D' word was even more commonly used on here than the Chip Inn. Which resides in the Long Stratton area, I do believe Or other tosh, like travel to Croatia, etc
Yes, the 'D' word was rather overused about 2 years ago. PS - I'm off to Sorrento in 7 weeks for 5 nights!!!1
Never been, but a stunning part of Italy, I understand. You'll have to tell us all about it - here, on a football forum, upon your return In rhyming iambic pentameters, to keep the 'culture club' sweet Have a great time, though our dynasties will doubtless cross before you head off.
Well, ALL of our teams have had a winning weekend - http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...th-newcastle-united-development-win-1-5354319 Naismith scored a couple, with Cantwell (p) and Abrahams getting the others. Gutted I couldn't go and watch it. Roll on next Monday and just HOPE I can get a ticket!!! Edit - Middleton played over an hour for the under 18s and played the 2nd half today!!!
Reading the report it sounds like a cracking game. Pity it was behind closed doors. Good for Naismith getting the first two goals. Cantwell's was a penalty for a foul on Abrahams, who also scored the winning goal. Full report here: http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...th-newcastle-united-development-win-1-5354319
Looks like Naisy is on form all of the sudden. http://www.edp24.co.uk/sport/norwic...th-newcastle-united-development-win-1-5354319
Heartbreak for Godfrey and Morris as West Ham finally scored 8 minutes from the end of extra time. Godfrey played the whole 120 minutes and Morris the final 40 minutes. city/canaries-morris-and-godfrey-shrewsbury-town-west-ham-fa-cup-defeat-1-5357927
