Yes all 5 of those players look very promising indeed. Godfrey is the one most likely at the moment but Cantwell could be called upon if either Maddison or Pritchard move on. Liverpool rated Phillips highly, but injuries held him back. That seems sorted now and DF put him on the bench a while back. Middleton and Abrahams are also tantalising prospects but I'm surprised that Fonkeu isn't included. He's well over 20 now, so should be closer than that. What's your opinion of his play.
Yes Rick, I've seen Fonkeu a few times and I've also been impressed with his play - he's another one who I feel is ready for the step up. I would guess just an 'oversight' by DDF!!!
Thanks JMF. I was surprised that neither Fonkeu or Abrahams were on the bench when Jerome was injured. He must think Watkins is a better bet up front for now.

Michee Efete has extended his loan at Torquay Utd. to the end of the season. http://www.devonlive.com/sport/football/football-news/two-torquay-united-loanees-leave-1009968
Ben Godfrey was BBC's MotM () against West Ham and deservedly so after a very classy but also solid performance. I could see him slotting right in at DM next year. Carlton Morris also had a very hard-working performance up front in the manner of Jerome, holding up the ball and laying it off. He's more of a 'target man' type, so hard to say how it'll go for him next season.
Ebou Adams has returned from his loan to Shrewsbury as planned. Make or break for him now as his contract is up this summer.
I've mostly been pretty impressed with him when playing for the Under 23s, but obviously Paul Hirst didn't agree with me.
So our Under 23s beat Stoke 3-1 away tonight - great start to 2018 and looking forward t seeing them play Bournemouth in a couple of weeks.
Clever Cantwell scored directly from a corner to open the scoring. Fonkeu got the winner and Aransibia the third.
I know I'm not alone in thinking that Cantwell (TC) will be a replacement for JM when he leaves, though he'll need time to 'get up to speed' with the Champioonship.
Seems like it's getting quite feisty against Derby under 18s in the FA Youth Cup - Middleton having a good game. Current score 2-2 with about 10 mins to go. Our keeper SAVES a penalty!!! Looks like ET beckons
