our youth won away at pompey in the last round of the fa youth cup and have set up a home tie with 10 times winner's man utd, after knocking out liverpool in an earlier round, what odds on us turning over utd? also considering we don't have an academy, the youngster's we got seem no worse than clubs who do have them.
they played liverpool at the liberty, so i guess it will, the dates on the offical club site, i forget what it is at the moment.
Gutted last night, my boy goes training with Pompey U14's on Wednesday's, right by Fratton Park. When I got home looked on the Swans web site to see them playing Pompey. Would have gone in to watch the second half. Good win though!!!!
http://www.thefa.com/Competitions/FACompetitions/TheFAYouthCup/Fixtures Saturday 11th Feb at 7pm? We're at home to Norwich at 3pm. Umm.
great 2-0 win at pompey that earned them a 5th round tie against man utd youth......got to go to that...
The game will be at the Liberty on Thursday Feb 2nd at 7pm. Free entry to season ticket holders. There's a nice little run of games next week: Tuesday 31st Jan - Chelsea at home Wednesday 1st Feb - reserves v. Arsenal at Parc Y Scarlets Thursday 2nd Feb - Youth Cup v. Man Utd at Liberty Who's going to all three?
neveroffside, I was gutted to have missed the Pompey game as well seeing as I'm only 5 minutes drive away from Fratton Park. It's great that we're against UTD in this game and to see our Youth doing well. Reading an article about Tom Butler leaving he said that he can see the Academy coming sooner than later so something must be happening with all that.
