The first thing SD needs to do is sell up to someone for £10m, someone who is prepared to spend some money on the club. the new owners then need to start the process of revamping the club and sacking most of the people who have any say in football or administrative matters, because they are absolutely ****e at what they do. Getting it right on the pitch gives the new owners some time but its absolutely critical that we get the right manager in. Do that and he could probably assemble a promotion winning side out of this rabble we have playing for us as thats what good managers do - get blood out of a stone. Give him £5m, wheel and deal, manage the players and we are on to something. I agree that we need a DOF. I'd give the job to Mick Harford. I'd get SKP in as manager or assistant manager, with an old hand in to guide him.
He cant pay the yanks back if we stay this league next season. The bailiffs will be bashing his door down. What his new piece of skirt will think of that god only knows
Clubs with half, or less, of our support have gone up without big money being spent. We've just had a big cash injection and, in my opinion, more to come. We only have to be better than 3 League One sides to go up. The current situation is shyte but to suggest it's hopeless is way over the top.
W We dont want or need managers who have done well in scottish pub leagues. They are big fish in tiny pools. Ross was way out of his depth. I agree we need a DoF who is on the same wavelength as the manager. Hill and ross and hill and PP are on the same wavelength but sadly that wavelength is not one that belongs to modern football. At charlton bowyer has gathered a close knit little group around him but then some would say well so did/do ross and PP. Our Achilles heal has to be Hill. PP though is and was an atrocious appt. We simply have to cut our losses on both men ( and their sidekicks ) and it has to be now. We have sunk so low I just dont know who could be a good short term solution. I'm convinced it is not skp. Neither do I believe the sergeant major type who would belittle and brutalize players that so many seem to believe would be the panacea. It never worked with keane here or at Ipswich. He is a chequebook manager plain and simple in the mould of harry redknapp
That's just a massive generalisation though. The idea that no good manager can ever come from Scotland because it's a smaller league is nonsense. As I also pointed out in my post. It's very easy to criticise without offering a solution which is the point of this thread.
Agree with some of this, but we're projected to make a £5m profit this year and were projected to make a £5m loss next year. Who knows how much that £5m loss can be brought down though, or whether it could even be negated entirely by continued stripping back of the club's ambition?
Exactly this. 99% of comments are just SACK PARKINSON or SELL UP and realistically, neither will be an attractive proposition to Donald for various reasons both financial and otherwise. I don't think he'll sell the club for £10m while he has an outstanding debt of at least double that amount to the club, for once very simple reason: It would mean he would have to pay it.
He wont get £20m for a failed SAFC. He's about to get his fingers burnt IMHO and that'll teach him a lesson not to get involved in things that are way out of his comfort zone. Murray didnt get £20m for SAFC when he sold it. Short must have lost millions? SD will pay the price of failure.
He won't, but if he sells without accounting for his own debt (which he can't do while FPP have the loan outstanding as the charge means they can prevent him wiping or reducing the debt without paying it) he'll be liable for far more than £10m. He'd owe the club circa £20m at least, and that could be called in by the new ownership. Hence he can't afford to default either.
.for his next trick desperate donald hires a sunlun fan who who works for sky because 'he gets us yer knaaa'. Another bit of el cheapo smoke and mirrors bollox to buy him more time. Does he really think that is going to improve the club in any way shape or form? The man is just digging himself further and further into a hole with no respite whatsoever from the ongoing debacle he created and presides over. What a waste of space he is
Y Yeah the bin laden family are rolling in dosh. Who cares where their money comes from or what it has financed .
So what would you like to see him do? How do you think he should run the club? Who do you think he should appoint to the board? Who would you bring in as head of recruitment? Who do you think should get the managers job? Which players should we be looking to bring in? What new beers should we be selling on the concourses? How would you finance all of this?
