More a reflection of what we focus on. Perrymam, King, Roberts Kinnear, Jennings, Knowles, Assou-Ekotto, Robinson, Thorsvedt are all favourite players, but if I get only 5 then it would be the ones at the other end of the pitch.

Yeah agree, if we’re picking best or favourite I’d probably have a different five from the ones I initially chose.

King (only missed out on my best due to his injuries preventing him from playing enough), Dawson, Lennon, Tainio, Ekotto, Robinson, Dembele, Defoe would all be high on my list of favourite players.

Is it best you’ve seen or your favourites? Because my list would be very different

The original spec was the best. But happy to see both.

Mabbutt, Ginola, Lennon, Van Der Vaart & Berbatov would be in my favourite five but not good enough to be in my best five.

Best? Lloris, King, Hoddle, Bale, Kane.
Favourite, but not those listed above? Thorstvedt, Mabbutt, Modric, Ginola, Sheringham.

My top 5 'Spurs players, in respective positions, are . . . .
Pat Jennings (I met him at Butlins many moons ago when I was a bairn)
Glenn Hoddle (my hero . . . . the best, most naturally gifted player that I've ever seen live, and I actually liked 'Diamond Lights')
Gary Mabbutt (great captain who managed his diabetes superbly)
Luka Modric (brilliant 'Ossie' type player)
Teddy Sheringham (gifted and classy centre forward)

p.s. 'Spurs have been my 'second' team since Glenn made his debut at age 17 :emoticon-0105-wink:
p.p.s. Purely coincidental, but he was married a year before I was, he has three children (2 girls and 1 boy, the same as me), who are each a year older than my 3 and he's the same age as me (exactly 1 week older) . . . . I'm not divorced (yet), though

Good choices. Teddy loses his favourite tag for some due to his desire to get away and his willingness to go to print recommending others do the same, but a fabulous player.

I've already posted my best 5
    Jennings
    Greaves
    Modric
    Vdv
    Kane
But on another day any of these 5 could be included
    Gough
    Ardiles
Hoddle ( before he became a total jerk )
    England
    Klinsmann

Lloris is one of the top 5 best Spurs players you've seen? I'm a bit surprised by that.

He's been a good signing for you and a loyal servant, but I wouldn't have thought he'd be in your top 5 ever.

I went with positions. Keeper, defender, midfielder, striker and one spare, who happened to be wingers.
I only included players that I can remember seeing play in the flesh, too.

Most of the time he would beat 3 players on the wing but then knock someone out in row z with the shot or cross but me and my mates who I went to games with just loved his style and attitude, loved him but alas not one of our best
