You need to get under the skin of Alexandar Mitrovic... he's the one you need to shake up. The guy holds the ball up and draws out defenders effortlessly, then they have a tricky 2nd striker, Perez who has an incredible first touch and ability to turn. If Mitrovic loses his head, he could win the game for you. If I was an SAFC fan, I'd be worried that you'll focus to much on dominating the CM positions and hope to win the game from there. That's where they're weak, so maybe you'll look to exploit that, but I think they're going to let you have the ball a lot anyway. I think they'll be planning for you to have the ball in CM and shut you out further up the field and counter.
have you seen Mannone play this season? Make Pantilimon look like Gordon Banks!! Not sure on the "true to his word" thing - Pants isn;t playing well at the moment but he was excellent all last season. His confidence is a bit battered and his mistake at the weekend was getting fouled. The only mistake!! Mannone';s form is far worse (Exeter and Man CIty) - Horrendous in both games. Pickford is the only answer and I don;t think he's either available or ready - could be wrong on both counts though!!
I hope you go with Gk - Mannome Lb - Aanholt CB - Coates CB - Kaboul Rb - Jones CM - Cattermole CM - Rodwell CM - Gomez LAM - Larson RAM - Borini St - Toivonen That would make it a nice easy game, Cattermole guarenteed a Red! Cant see Johnson playing with it being the Sunday before half term, he will be busy setting all his plans in motion for the forthcomming week! Rodwell to get injured, stretchered off with a broken nail! Good Luck guys, your gonna need it!
O'Shea is great shout, his a complete liability! always prone to a mistake like a pen or an OG! M'Villa dont bother me too much either, he will go up for one header against Mitro and that will be his game over! or Sissoko might just beast him!
Which one of them would start in any Premiership team, not one of them can string two decent games together, our squad is very poor, results prove it.
Maybe a bit against the grain here. But time for old heads in derby games. AJ. Borini. Seb. Catts would all be in my team.
Mannone is not better than Pants and have I missed something that Sam said? As far as I know he didn't blame Pants for the goal on Saturday. Pants might have made a couple of mistakes this season but that doesn't mean there's anyone better available to replace him. Would be great to see Pickford at no. 1 at some point though. I'm also all for chucking Watmore at them. Maybe he can be a bit all over the place but that unpredictability, pace and effort resulted in a goal when he came on against Norwich and the way I saw it when he was out of position it was because he was covering for other people who weren't doing their job. I know the team's moved on since the Norwich game, but the results haven't. What's better - rough round the edges and hungry or the odd touch of class from someone who's been there and done that but isn't really that bothered.
