    To be fair one of my favourite things as a kid was buying a 1/4 lb bag of lemon sherbert and a liquorish stick.

    Not those godawful tubes of dry powder "sherbert", but a bag of sherbert, filled from one of the big jars.

    A 1/4 of wine gums from a jar were really good as well. Back in the day when they weren’t all bothered about what was good for you and just stuck things in that made them taste delicious.

    Can you still get those candy sticks in a cardboard box? White cylinder shaped sticks.... They were good.

    They were when I was a youngster,admittedly that was some time ago,but they were lush,you just could'nt play a trumpet after eating one

    If on the other hand you mean from outer space,as I've said before I was taken up on a space ship back in the 70s,where I was probe and an alien device was inserted in me that changes traffic lights to red when ever I approach them,damn you aliens,damn you

    I was questioning myself, so Googled:

    Snickers came first. The Snickers bar was originally introduced in the US in 1930, while the Marathon bar, which is the same chocolate bar, was introduced in the UK in 1968 and later renamed Snickers in 1990.
