I used to.....a lot. 1986, 1990 World Cups were immense. I even have fond memories of 1994 USA when England weren't even involved. But something changed around 2002 and international football has just become more and more insipid and feeble since, (and no, nowt to do with City moving to the KC that year). I did enjoy the 2002 Japan/South Korea World Cup - 9:30am= pub and beer for the Sweden match was quality! But after we exited that tournament I just cannot remember the same passion ever being felt since, by anyone involved with England. Be that players, fans, management....anyone.
Not really from what I have seen lately. They have been using Eddie Johnson and Dempsey lately. Johnson is terrible, he is just a weak MLS striker. Altidore appears to be in the projected starting 11 today though. If they lose today there is a decent chance that the US will not qualify for the world cup. I am not a USMNT fan, but I will watch the games on TV. I cheer for Germany since I lived there when I was a kid when West Germany won the world cup.
Brad Guzan is starting in goal so we got two people on the field who have played for us. They just mentioned us in reference to Guzan.
Yea he is on the field. Guzan looks like he has lost weight. Its going to be a game to watch. Its in colorado and is snowing a hell of a lot with a lot. You should watch the game, there has to be a link out there for u to see it on.
