Good shout ACS. Corwall was where I first discovered Speckled Hen, much to Mrs Sombrero's regret.

We went to Kernow every year for about 15 years. Bossiney, Newquay, Looe, Polperro, Padstow. Have to say that my favourite pub on earth is the Port William at Trebarwith Strand. What a setting!

Cant beat the memories of old match days for night games, approaching the ground, seeing the lights and smelling the hops from the brewery. Anyone else miss that smell or am i just strange?

My first ever football match was Blyth ladies v Glasgow, one of the home players worked with my dad so he brought me along to watch since 5 year olds can't be left by themselves in the house. I didn't really have a clue what was going on but I was kinda happy to be spending time with my dad, thinking that maybe he would show me the ways of football.

Nope. He doesn't care one bit about football so really it was only by about 11 when I took an interest, when it was Newcastle v Arsenal in the FA Cup Final.

Wait... does that mean I'm an (almost) gloryhunter?! <yikes>

"Mark,Mark Newcastle are playing Bohs, please come with me",he agreed. We got the the 16A bus to Dalymount,me with my black and white hat and scarf and him a neutral(well a arsenal fan,'cos everyone in Ieland was because of their Irish pLayers). We got to the ground and tried to get into Newcastle end but told away fans only ie Newcastle fans that had travelled.I couldn't get in to the Newcastle end so had to go into the Bohs end or home end which I did and hide my black and white hat and scarf.I watched my heroes amongst the home crowd and couldn't participate fully.I'm only eleven at this time so wasn't really aware of the hostiility towards anything British or football hooligans but remember Iam McFaul(our goalkeeper) getting hit with something. The match ended 0-0 but did I enjoy it,I don't think so,I was segregated at 11 years of age but we have moved on and anybody going to any game can more or less sit anywhere.

I don't think inside toilets had been invented, there was no such thing as the metro and I was on the old family enclosure where you could watch re-plays on the boxes located behind us. :emoticon-0109-kiss:
