From my husband: "Tiger Rag by Les Paul and Mary Ford was not recorded until the early 50's but Tiger Rag was played at BP in the 40's as the Tigers entry music. I started watching from 1946. Was the Tiger Rag earlier version changed after the Paul/Mary recording was released? I certainly do not recall that happening."
Th 4-4 with Sheff Weds was my first match ever. My dad worked away and when he was home for Christmas took me to the game. We scored three goals in the last 10 mins to equalize when everything looked like we were going to lose 4-1. Impossible to not be hooked after that.
Like OLM I can't remember mine but I'm told it was Mansfield and we won 2-0. It will have been 1998 I think. I don't remember much from back then. The first team I really remember was Brian Little's season when he signed about 15 players in the summer including Dudfield and Alexander, but even then I don't remember any games very well at all. Dudfield was my favourite but I can't even remember anything he did now.
Mine was in the late 70's too. Have no idea what year or against whom. I was born in 74 and I think it would have been probably 79 but the person who took me (Grandad) is no longer here. We used to sit in the South Stand seats, before we moved to the West Stand (Best Seats) later on.
Haven't been to one . . . . . yet. Will have to cross the pond to visit KC Stadium some day. Maybe next year.
My first memory of Hull City was the Watney cup against Man Utd. Hull City 1-1 Manchester United (Manchester United won 4-3 on penalties) Watney Cup semi-final at Boothferry Park 5 August 1970
