Cl quarter final 2004 - deportivo overturned a 4-1 loss against ac Milan in first leg by winning return leg 4-0!
I thought this thread was about games not involving your own club. Its definitely in my top 5 games ever watched though.
I was just thinking, the amount of times Chelsea and Liverpool (as an example) have played together in the last 7 years yet there's only 2 or 3 of them that actually stand out. Ther have been loads of ****ty games IMO like the two horrendous 0-0 draws in the CL group stage or the first leg 0-0 in the 2005 semi final.
As a Liverpool fan I still remember the exhaustion and disbelief after Istanbul. I was 11 at the time - my Dad was sitting beside me on the verge of tears, telling me this is what he remembered when he was my age. My grandfather phoned us, screaming his head off - one of his last good memories before he died of cancer three years later. Really memorable night, especially with hindsight. Apart from that: United 0 - 2 Barcelona - purely for the 'we're going to destroy them' attitude of United fans on 606. Madrid 1-3 Barcelona - last years CL semi-final, Messi scoring a brilliant goal near the end, Busquet's stopping with the ball and letting him run past and take it was superb. Can't think of many others that don't involve Liverpool... Uruguay vs Germany and Uruguay vs Holland were superb at the world cup.
The 4-4 a few years ago between Chelsea and spurs was just crazy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=723qPWF6oZ4
Everybody who wasn't German wanted them to lose, outplayed by a superior skilled French side for long periods the German war machine trundled on.
