Sometime in late 80’s, Leicester City at home, 2nd Division. Leicester went 3-0 up by half time I think, we got one back, 1-3.

    Leicester got another one 1-4.

Me and a couple mates in the Leazes End shout obscenities to the players and leave the ground for home (no pubs open after 3pm in those days)

Me car was in the car park of that pub on Barrack Road behind the wall. Walked up got in the car and switched on radio, Newcastle scored 2-4.

Set off down Barrack road, turned left along the back of the Gallowgate end. Newcastle scored - 3-4.

On past the RVI, turn down past Hancock museum and up onto the North Road, going past the Town Moor. Newcastle scored - 4-4.

Turned right at Blue House roundabout, along and down Matthew Bank to South Gosforth. Guess what.

    Newcastle scored 5 – 4. Mark McGhee!

    Greatest comeback I never saw.
