I'm at a bit of a disadvantage here.
I'm too young to really remember the teams I watched as a kid (late 1970's)
And after decades in the wildreness I didn't get a ST until 2007 - the season after we were relegated from the Premiership.
So the best (or my favourite) Charlton team I've seen live?
Will have to have a think about it.

Team of 1968 that nearly got promoted.
My first Charlton team is the one I still remember with affection. From memory, Rose, Hewie/Bonds, Kinsey, Bailey, Haydock, Tocknell, Kenning, Matthews, Durandt, Glover, Edwards. I had a signed photo, long lost.

When I first came to Charlton that was the team. I also remember Marvin Hinton and the wonderful Eddie Firmani. I also remember the kit. White shirts with red flashes on the shoulders.

When I started Hinton and Firmani had gone. Firmani was married to my mother's classmate, bit of irrelevant trivia. I have the white shirt with red flashes but sadly it's gone pink due to a washing accident

How much did Sir Lennie think he weighed.

I asked Lennie if he thought he’d done the clubs dough on him . He was our record signing at the time - £200,000

Lennie replied that he was just about to give up on him when something suddenly clicked & he hit a purple patch. I think he was our POTY that season.
