I never meant any offence by it Wiz, just sometimes you get the impression that someone is the same age as yourself, I thought BB was about my age.

But just to make you feel good, you got your first car the year I was born<ok>

You are ever so slightly older than me ROD - you were born in '66 I was born in '67.

I got my first car at 17 in 1984. It was a 1975 model Renault 5 in white with the gearstick coming out of the dashboard and a really weird kind of basket weave roof lining. Great fun to drive though. I got drunk in Clifton one night, drove over the Suspension Bridge and did a round of golf in it on the Ashton Court pitch and putt - 6 of us in it with one of my mates hanging onto the roof. Bloody outrageous - if one of my boys pulled a stunt like that they'd be in very deep ****!

1st car was a mk3 cortina....1 car, 3 engines and 2 gearboxes over 3 years!........sea sickness when you drove it and a new noise every week!

Current car is BMW X3.....lovely car and a comfortable drive with pretty good mpg if you drive it carefully (getting about 46 mpg to and from work and about 50 - 52 on a run)......if I'm in a hurry it drops......A LOT!

Dream car...not sure, but my son is on a car lease thingy at BMW in Swindon and has just picked up his new 118 M Sport jobby......it is 'kin stunning!...all the toys and all that and a switch to go from comfort-economy-sport modes. Had a go and told him to leave it in sport mode! 30k worth of wheels though so out of my league!
