That may well be something to do with it, but I think it's also largely to do with Suarez making the difference for Liverpool, whilst other players make the difference for teams Liverpool (and many PL) fans just don't care about. Also hard to argue that Cavani, Ibra etc haven't played at a higher level than Suarez in Europe, tho' obviously that's linked to how little you seem to care about the EL. Ultimately my view on Suarez this season is that he's definitely one of the form players in the PL, but still isn't contributing enough to ever be considered one of the top ten players in Europe. He was scoring some important goals earlier in the season, but over the past few months it's hard to think of any games where he has actually made any difference - he's scored plenty of goals that have added gloss to games you have dominated and won, but when you've really needed goals he has fluffed his lines or failed to make an impact, and as a result you've dropped points against teams like Swansea, Spurs, Utd, Villa, Stoke and Arsenal. In fact, as I said to BBF, I can't off the top of my head think of a single game where his goals have actually been crucial in securing a victory this season. He's probably rescued a few points for you, but never taken the chances that could have created a victory. He's been similar at international level this season - goals when Uruguay don't need them, but no goals when they do, and that's played a key role in Uruguay falling out of the automatic promotion spots.
My issue with your contributions to the thread was that you claimed Rooney's record spoke for itself while you dismissed Ibrahimovic's goals this season straight away. And then you changed the subject and started complaining about the thread and claiming it was just a convenient way for Liverpool fans to stick Suarez in the worlds top 10 players.
No offence to the Liverpool clan but there is no way Suarez gets even close to top ten in the world on current or past form. Neither does Rooney as it happens in my opinion.
Bollocks. Feel free to quote this complaint I made. I don't mind you saying stuff I have actually said Lucas, that's the nature of these forums. Let's not make **** up though eh? The bit about Suarez is true though, I didn't even dispute him being in it on the basis of it only being this season but actual top ten players in the world, being allowed to go outside of only this season? Not a chance.
Seems like a complaint about the thread, no? Apologies if it isn't, but thats what it seemed like to me, and thats what it still seems like to me reading it again.
Both Suarez and Rvp are in the top 10 I find it ridiculous to suggest otherwise even considering how weak the prem is
I'd rather he not have the attention But seriously, I'd rather no LFC players. If we had the best player we would be top of the league. Saying we have these players gives opposition fans some bullets to fire!
That's incredibly weak RvP was just as good last season and you're only allowed to say he's good now because the team he plays for is top? pfffft nonsense
1) Messi...by a huge margin 2) Ronaldo ..Not as good as messi but still much better than the rest.. 3) Van Persie.. best of the premiership players. 4) Luis Suarez... another fantastic player in the prem. 5) Zlatan Ibrahimovic 6) Iniesta 7) Falcao 8) Bale....would be much higher if with a better side. 9) Mata 10) Sergio Ramos Rooney, michu and few others in the prem are good players but not great players like above...
You've twisted my words! I never said Suarez shouldn't be in there, merely that I prefer him not to be because of the focus and attention it brings. Would I like that attention if we were winning? Absolutely! I actually think RvP was better last season too!
Maybe you should check Ibra's record. How many league titles with how many different teams? Oh yeah, every team he's played for... and PSG currently on their way to one this year. He has 9 league titles to Rooney's 4; 10 to 5 come the end of the season, and has a slightly better goals to game ratio for what is generally considered a poorer international team. So you're talking rubbish.
