Title says it all, base it on this season. 1. Lionel Messi 2. Cristiano Ronaldo 3. Thomas Muller 4. Andrés Iniesta 5. Robin van Persie 6. Gerard Pique 7. Andrea Pirlo 8. Luis Suarez 9. Zlatan Ibrahimovic 10. Neymar da Silva Santos Júnior Of course theres some notable players I've missed out, but going on this season I still think these players have been the most in form in the world. There is a distinct lack of keepers/defenders on the list, but they are much harder to judge based on statistics, and from what I've seen so far from the little of foreign football, there haven't been any defenders that have particularly caught my eye.
Not bad lists but how you (both) have left out Falcao is crazy! Surely he would be in there? Top 5 I think goes: Messi CR Iniesta Falcao Ibra after that it is pretty open to debate I believe. I like Drogs pick with Chiellini, should have been in the World XI imo.
****, totally forgot. I'd swap him for either Pirlo or Ibra. There's too many and yeah agree, couple of Juve's should've been. Best defence in the world imo.
Amazing that there's no Bale in any of these. Or Rooney. Both are way better than Ibrahimovic for instance. I get why you, wrongly, think Rooney is no good as you can't see past your rose coloured goggles but Bale is up there at the moment, no doubt.
In no particular order. 1. Lionel Messi 2. Cristiano Ronaldo 3. Thomas Muller 4. Andrés Iniesta 5. Robin van Persie 6. Gerard Pique 7. Andrea Pirlo 8. Luis Suarez 9. Gareth Bale 10. Falcao Not much wrong with Ze's list so just changed a couple of players.
1. Neymar 2. Suarez 3. Messi 4. Bale 5. Xavi 6. Iniesta 7. C.Ronaldo 8. Wilshire 9. Coutinho 10. J.Evans This may not bean entirely serious contribution!
1. Neymar 2. Neymar 3. Neymar 4. Downing 5. Neymar 6. Neymar 7. Neymar 8. Neymar 9. Neymar 10. Neymar
1. Messi 2. Falcao 3. Ronaldo 4. Xavi 5. RVP 6. Suarez 7. Bale 8. Mata 9. Iniesta 10. Chiellini Very difficult.
In Brazil; latent, unproven, untested, afraid of the challenge? Seriously, most of the stupid skill he does would see him either thrown out of the team or into a hospital bed in Europe.
It is a pretty tricky pick. -C.Ronaldo -L.Messi -Iniesta -Van Persie -Xavi -Suarez -M.Gomez I dont see enough foreign football to know about other Spanish clubs and other leagues.
Based on this season's form I don't even think Rooney is in the top 5 in the premier league. Bale has a chance, but he's too inconsistent, people will rave about him when he puts in a good game, but he's conveniently overlooked when he has a bad game. Oh and better than Ibra I hope you're joking!
Yeah, in France. That's really great. He's one of the single most over rated players in history so no, I'm not joking.
