but laudrup has done a very similar job to lambert in a top european league, all on a shoestring budget. many similarities between them so i could see him being an ideal replacement.

The Swans seem to think that Holloway is being interveiwed next for them, which is good as it would stop him from coming to us & im sure Blackpool ould put a transfere embargo on him, meaning we could slip in to take Phillips & ince from them <ok>

James Kent (of bleacher report 'fame') on twitter is under the impression that Chris Hughton is being interviewed today. I can see nothing anywhere to substantiate this, however.

He admitted its fake but regardless it's good to see people's fears about Bruce

    I wouldn't want him either.

Shola Ameobi has announced his retirement as a player and is now looking for his first managerial role. He has been spotted in the ASDA car park chatting to McNally this morning! <ok>

There are a few names that have not been mentioned for Norwich manager that should be considered such as Mike Phelan and Mark Bowen. Both have excellent coaching experience and were legends at Norwich. Mike Phelan has been assistant manager for a while now at Old Trafford, and you would think that some of Sir Alex Fergusons tactical nous and experience would have rubbed off on him. He has also given a lot of TV interviews after Man Utd games instead of Sir Alex, so seems to be getting good experience opportunitys given to him. Whether we could prise him away from Old Trafford would be the big question. Mark Bowen has worked as assistant manager for Mark Hughes at Wales and Blackburn and I'm sure could do a good job. Both Mike Phelan and Mark Bowen would be highly respected by the current players.

Who I wouldn't want at Norwich is the following:

Steve Bruce - we have approached him on numerous occasions in the past when their was a vacancy and he told the club he was not interested. In fact gave the impression that Norwich was a below him!

Ian Holloway - likes to play good attacking, entertaining football. However, he is tactically inept and we would get relegated just like Blackpool if he took over.

Neil Lennon - arrogant, aggressive and tactically inept. Won league in Scotland, but only after Rangers were punished for going into Administration. Failed to win both League Cup and Scottish Cup despite Rangers being put out! Only managed in SPL, so inexperienced as well.

Forgot to add that wouldn't mind Iain Culverhouse being manager or coach if he was prepared to stay and not follow Lambert to Aston (Ice Cream) Vanilla!

Personally, I'm getting a little tired of this suggested reliance on our 'old boys network'
Culverhouse, courtesy of Lambert has been the exception, but all the rest - Gunn (+ Crook and Butterworth), Deehan, Megson, Grant have ranged from poor to catastrophic.

Nothing personal, funnyoldgame, but let's at least let the new guy start off with a clean slate at the club <ok>

There is a big difference Cromer between the names I mentioned and the ones you did. Both Mike Phelan and Mark Bowen are far more experienced than any of the names you listed. They have both coached at Premiership League level and are respected.

When Gunn, Grant and Megson were appointed as manager they had little or no managerial experience.

When you appoint any new manager there is an element of risk. For example even if you appoint a really experienced manager they may have totally different ideas from Paul Lambert and may want to totally change the team formation and players. This could lead to disruption of the squad and morale. This is why in some respects appointing ian Culverhouse might be the best option for continuity.
