1. A long evening with Jimmy McGovern & Robbie Coltrane (Cracker fame) , with Val McDermid (Wire in the Blood fame) - in a fancy restaurant. Would be fascinating.

2. Dinner with David Attenborough. Still has a lot to say, wonderful career.

3. Tag along with Michael Palin on his next intrepid travel journey - ideally to the base camp of Everest in the trail of Mallory & Irvine. Summit would be impossible for an old fart like me. But spectacular it would be. I could see Palin being great company.
Edit: The presence of John Cleese would add a bit of spice too - well, if he brought Jamie Lee Curtis with him :emoticon-0105-wink::emoticon-0105-wink:
Fantastic, but aren't bucket lists suppose to be achievable? I mean, Jamie Lee?

You've just reminded me of Firthy {I'm been over familiar cos I cant recall his first name), who remained a member of CI after he emigrated to around there and kept posting even as the hurricane ruined his business, He was forced to return to Hull and died within the last year.

I can't remember his first name, but I did try to get him a place to live on Chants Ave.

It didn't work out for one reason or another.

His name was John Firth and he lived in Baton Rouge. When we was doing our promotion seasons I got a ball autographed to take to him when I went to see family near Philly. Unfortunately we couldn't hook up and I had to post the ball to him from where I was.
Good bloke was John. R.I.P.

I remember chatting to him pre City game a few years ago. It was only during the chat that I realised who he was. I'm sure this was during a return visit for him, rather than when ge had to return

'Tis a miserable place for sure these days, yet every visitor insists on paying their dues.
Niagara on the Lake, on the other hand, is a lovely place to stay - well it was 45 years ago when the missus & myself spent a 3 day honeymoon there.
Stopped there briefly a couple of years ago. Seemed nice.
Obviously the Falls themselves are impressive btw It’s just the town that’s a bit **** (although we had a great time I must say)

OK.
Let's sub Sybil (Prunella S.) then. Or can I allocate Connie Booth, but then, JC may object !

That's triggered a memory there. It was the early 'novelty' of following live events worldwide on Sky. I was watching the hurricane (floods?) as the banks broke in New Orleans. Obviously I was on City forum (CI) at the same time. Firthy was updating us as it happened and as he wasnt immediately affected, took several people into his home, who were made homeless. It was ironic that he later suffered the same plight.

One of my old Leeds mates lived in Niagara Falls (RIP Bill) and every time I went to visit him he insisted we (missus & I) stayed in NotL and he even payed for the room for a couple of nights. Can't remember the hotel's name, but it was excellent. He'd get himself a room too as he liked his beer/wine & food . We shelled out for his dinner to compensate. Happy days.
My mate paid for me and Ms T to stay over in Niagara Falls…maybe he doesn’t really like us? <laugh>
To be fair it was a suite in the Hilton with full glass walls overlooking the falls and seeing them from there lit up at night, when you couldn’t see the kiss me quick hat salesmen and ****ty restaurants<laugh>, was brilliant. Cracking night actually
My advice to @Kempton if he does go is stay overnight in a hotel with a view, get pissed at Margaritaville then get out into the surrounding areas in the morning.

That's where I first bumped into John on C.I. and remember him doing that also. The ball I took him was last seen floating down the street.

If you’ve got a free seat for number 1 I’ll get a round and join you…that would be a superb night
Val McD particularly has always struck me as someone I’d like a pint with

Famous for the Shaw Festival. I've seen some great stuff there. Oldest public golf course in N.America. The views across lake Ontario to the Toronto skyline (30 miles) visible on a clear day are great ie CN tower and the skycrapers. Toronto goes on forever.
I’ve been up the CNN tower in Toronto
Didn’t do the walk over the side on wires, but was good enough view anyway

Really liked Toronto, I’d happily go back

Really just to be around as long as possible to support my kids into adulthood.

My accident made me realise luck was on my side that day and it could have had a different outcome.
Absolutely agree. Mrs A has had two separate horrendous health issues over the last two years. We weren't sure if she'd get through either. Thank ****, against a lot of the odds, she's a tough bugger, (endlessly reminds me she's a Boothferryer). and well on the mend now. It has been an awful two years. Mrs A has recently found out she's going to be a grandma for the first time. She thought she wouldn't experience that.
As you can imagine, our bucket lists have changed quite dramatically over this period.
My working life has changed dramatically through this (Mrs A's hasn't!!!) and I guess as GLP says, none of us know what is round the corner.
We've loads of things we want to do, but actually realise non of the original things are important.

Edit: It is the first time I've shared this so allow me to consistently edit
