I have to say, I'm really chuffed to see how many people have named Montoya as a favourite. I had no idea he was so popular.

He was a feisty driver who was talented. On his day he could beat Michael Schumacher which is saying something.

I thought he was going to be the 'new' Senna but of course he turned out to be the 'original' Montoya. He was very exciting to watch and appealingly stroppy with it; I wish there were more like him.

<laugh> I was always willing him to have a strop just for the entertainment value. Maybe that's why I always liked Ron too.

    Nick Heidfeld
    Fernando Alonso
    Jenson Button

Drivers who are not on the grid.
    Kimi Raikonnen
    Giancarlo Fisichella

Other drivers who I have not really seen live but still resonate with me.
    Alain Prost
    Ayrton Senna

Same, never known any other Montoya fans. 2003 should have been his!! One of the best drivers never to win a championship.

I wanted him to win in 2003, partly because i loved how powerful that BMW engine was, and partly because it's nice to see williams doing well.

    Mika Hakkinen
    Ralf Schumacher
    Eddie Irvine
    Jean Alesi
    Lewis Hamilton
    Nick Heidfeld
    Jarno Trulli

    All Time Favourite Driver
Michael Schumacher - my first, one and only childhood hero. Awed by his sheer skill and talent as a kid. Always a legend for me.

Drivers I didn't see but am awed by
Jim Clark - in my view possibly the greatest driver of all time and one of the most astonishing sportsmen of all time.

Yes, Adam Parr. A man who has no business running an ice cream van, let alone a formula 1 team.
