Exactly! We can’t be out of the race anytime before week 35/36. That should be the minimum requirement. We all know that there can only be one winner. But we must make that winner earn it if we are not going to win it ourselves. City simply walked it last year by the end of February, it became a question of when rather than if for them. That can’t happen again with this squad.
In another CL news, the great Manchester City had only 38,000 supporters in their 55,000 sitter wonderful stadium on Wednesday and Pep ain’t happy about it. Oh well, I guess money can’t buy them love.
I was thinking the same, that for all their investment on the players and management, and their titles and trophies acquired at great expense, their crowds are still below par. And for Pep to implore their fans to turn up to the ‘Empty-had’ for their next match is really amazing and confirms the poor support they have. Rarely do we have so called smaller clubs like Everton, Leeds, Newcastle or Aston Villa calling for their fans to turn up. Which is really the bigger club?
You can't falsify certain things in life. What Manchester United has is not something that you simply get from finding a sugar daddy to feed you money to buy trophies. It must really puzzle the hell out of them as to what else they need to do to achieve the same level of relevance as United. Overall, United creates the headlines on and off the field. From tragedies to amazing moments that the club has endured throughout its history. It is that rich history of triumphs from the edge of failures that people gravitate toward which has now created the institution. Even during Sir Ferguson years, it was never about winning 5-0 (a point that is lost on even Pep). It was always an exhilaration journey to watch Manchester United. It still is even as we bi*** and moan because United has always operated at the edge of failure to become triumphant. That unpredictability nature of the United show is what makes it all so sweet. City can try, but they won't get that in next 50 years.
They won't get it ever. No one is interested really, despite the media fap. Not even their own supporters by the look of it. Trams running late or something no doubt.
According to the fans, Pep is ignoring the impact of covid-19 which has plagued City fans since the year 2010.
