Gomes is a bit like Dhalsim from street fighter and has the age advantage. However, he also looks like a cryer. Friedel.

Given that Dhalsim is the most irritating Street Fighter character ever, Friedel will presumably give him the regulation thrashing given to all n00bs using Dhalsim when playing SF online.

Does Lennon have a knife? If not, i'm backing Kaboom again.
If so, i'll probably go Little Aaron and Rose. Lennon's got the speed to get that killer knife blow in early.

    How about Bale vs King?

For the sake of fairness we have to assume that King either has a fully fit knee or that Bale isn't allowed to target the knee area.

King would annihilate Bale if you take away the knee issues, I know Bale is very athletic but King is built like a boxer.

so who do we think is the worst in a fight in the squad? I'd have to put Tom Carroll up for nomination. He looks like a child running around on the pitch.
Who could he fight? Modders is the one that springs to mind, he has the tinyness but doesn't have the biting of Defoe or the knife of Lennon (which is cheating by the way Aaron)

I see what you mean facial wise. However the armful of tattoos tells another story. Chop off his head and you wouldn't bet against him so readily, assuming his opponent had no head too of course

Modders is actually quite tough, from his days growing up on the streets of wartime Zagreb, he practically overcame the Serbs single-handedly.

Uh-oh! If we're not careful this is going to end up with one of those "Luka Modric is so good Superman wears Modric pants" debacles

Not sure Carroll is of a legal age to fight against other squad members yet. Surely of all the first team squad Gio is the weakest link, followed distantly by Pienaar.

Kaboul! He pick 'em both up and give them a double headbutt!

Ledley even with a dodgy knee! Just ask Faces (I think it was Faces) Bouncer's how hard he is to take down!

Have to agree with Tom Carroll being the worst fighter. The poor kid not only looks twelve but his voice is also high pitched. He's lucky he has the potential to be a good player, otherwise life would pretty much suck for him <laugh>.

To get back to the original thread, Kaboul is a fine athlete. Until very recently, he has lacked the concentration, application, and positional sense to be in his position. The fact that he has so rapidly improved, I can only think, is not entirely unconnected with his partnering Ledley, this season. Comparing him to Ledley is asking much of him - let's wait and see - he certainly has the physical attributes.
We should also remember that Martin Jol recently described Ledley as, without doubt, the finest central defender he had ever seen. I think we can safely say, that were it not for his knee problems, he would be recognised as such, throughout Europe.

And would no doubt have been poached by Real Madrid at the age of 25. His injury problems are the only reason we still have him.
