How exactly did Kagawa perform better? Hazard was french league player of the year twice and had amazing scoring and assists record for a midfielder. Take your united specs off!!!

Kagawa cost what 12 million? Hazard 30 million. There is a reason.

Well the German league is far and away better that the French league. We wont even bother debating it as its common knowledge. Kagawa was one of the 3 best players in Germany last season, arguably the best.

Kagawa had a year on his contract, has made his club a 16.75million profit ( he cost 17million, or he will ) and he wasnt being a media whore during our attempts to sign him.

Sorry to piss on your chips one last time but if I mention the name 'andy carroll' what does it tell you about the fees paid for players?

Oh and you have to take into context the fact Hazard did all of Lilles work, like RVP did at Arsenal.

Your not pissing on my chips, we got the better player and the player with better potential to be a true world star. You may disagree but I couldn't care less. You may be happy with your second choice like we are happy with our first choice.

So by your logic Carroll is better then Hazard then because he cost 35 million.

I fully agree Hazard will become the better player but at this stage of their careers I think Kagawa is the better player.

Of course it all counts for nothing considering both are new to the PL and we have no idea how they will settle.

And while he may help us shift 2 or 3 shirts here and there he was signed on his ability. We were also after him before Hazard aswell, at least genuinely after him.

    BELIEVE! MUFC

Manchester United new kit has been referred to by many as a picnic blanket....which suits us fine as there is only one place for a picnic blanket...

I don't know a great deal about either player (Kagawa or Hazard) just what I've heard in the media since their respective transfers. I don't think it matters, to a certain extent, how much a player costs but how they settle and how they perform over their time at their new club. Cisse was signed for less than 10m (I think) and he scored for fun in the second half of last season, Torres was signed for 50m and struggled to score for the first year and a bit of his 18 months with us. Cisse looks like the better signing! However if Torres scores 25/30 goals a season for the next 3 years and Cisse scores 5/10 and Newcastle continually finish mid table*, who looks like the better signing then?
My point is that you can only judge a player after they spend a few seasons at a club, certainly not before they arrive! There have been many examples down the years where the 'next Maradona' or the 'next Pele' have come to the PL and flopped and 'unknowns' have come in and done remarkably well.

So we shall see who the better signing is in time! Hopefully it will be Mr Hazard!

*I don't think Newcastle will return to mid table and I think Cisse will continue to be a success. Was just using him/them as an example!
