Sunroof on cars.

Once was the predictable extra on a car along with electric windows.

But somewhere along the way it just stopped being a thing.

Honda are fcking reliable and still a decent drive imo. I'd have a sunroof now, but they're just not around when you're looking to buy a used car.

My current (17 year old) BMW has one. Electric too, the one on my old Renault was manual and didn’t actually slide back.

I keep forgetting to shut the thing before turning the engine off, one day I’m going to come out in the morning and find the car full of rainwater. Other than that, I love it.

Yeh many moons ago I had an electric sunroof. Much better than the manual ones as they slid back or up. I would still place it higher than some extras e.g. cruise control (which I never use) or stop/start. Kids love it too.

Never got the point of cruise control. Driving up the M6 in my flash mate’s Merc a few years back when it was a newish concept, and he kept advising me to put it in cruise control like I’d be impressed. I like to be the one in control, which is why I don’t particularly like automatics - I’ll decide what gear I want to be in, ta.
