im not asking for fortunes i would of been over the moon with debuche OR douglas and a forward.in july 2003 the only player we signed was lee bowyer on a free,we finished 4th 01/02, 3rd 02/03,then 5th,then 14th,then 7th,so far weve signed a few kids and anita.Not a player that will push any 1 out of the first team (maybe in the future). im not saying the dropping down in the table, was totaly down to improving the team by a freeby that season but it doesnt help and if you stand still every one else will overtake you
I didn't really care about not signing anyone massive, but we should have just payed the cash for Debuchy, he was so worth it and fantastic for our team. He can cross a ball in from the right as good as Raylor. Imagine Raylor with pace and the skill to beat defenders? Plus Debuchy is better defensively than any of our fullbacks. He is quite attacking minded though
Well it could be that the bigger teams are already covered at the right back position, and those smaller clubs whom have no shot of getting him won't look at him.
