But it's not JWM! You've been completely duped on this. He didn't clear your debt, he took ownership of it, with a clear plan of taking that money out of ITFC and into his personal pocket. He's simply using you as a middle man to get some of the premier league money. The longer it takes you to get there, the more he takes.
replace 'you' with 'the club'. its really very simple warky. come on, surely you can see it! maybe its easier from outside but you must be able to see that its a very dangerous balancing act he's performing with your club? and thats the point - it should be you, the fans, who know whats happening. he is merely the guardian of your club. to say you have no debt or that the owner is giving you free money (in effect) is laughable to us but its crazy really. its a risky game he's playing with your football club but there's very little risk in it for him - the risk is all on the fans behalf
Would that be the Marcus Evans who is registered as living in Bermuda, along with most of his companies?
is that a witty retort from an ipswich fan on this thread? well done warky if so. but i take it that really means we're right and you're wrong...?
Your right, this thread needs another subject change. Here we go "Lets talk about how **** Michael Chopra is"
but nobody knows what he looks like.... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/ar...-led-Kevin-Nolan-Alan-Smith-Steve-Harper.html ...except of course, we all do
I'm sorry if all this makes you feel uncomfortable, but we're just worried about you. You're all putting on such a brave face, and that's admirable, but being stoic isn't going to stop your debt from growing to around 70 million plus next year. I worry that if you don't get to the prem in the next 2 yrs ME may cash in and go, you'll collapse, and even the Ipswich board on not606 will be sold at auction to pay off your debtors. And then we won't be able to comfort you in those hard times. And that makes me sad.
It means that we can keep going round in circles on this one! You have no hard evidence or data to support any of your statements and to second-guess someone and then claim it as a fact is hardly compelling evidence! If this was a pools panel game I would put it down as a no-score draw!
If I was a town fan () I would be worried you couldn't call it an 1p5wich win. That tells me you are not at ease with your situation.
your own club comes out and states that it has debts of £66.17m, pays 8% interest to your owner on the debt he bought and builds upon, so thats good enough evidence for me, and it really should be for you guys too. if you don't believe what your own club says on the record, then why are you defending the regime? surely if you don't believe what they say you should want rid?
but you do owe 66 million right? http://www.twtd.co.uk/news.php?storyid=19538 And ME did buy your debt for 20% of its value, and then charge you 8% interest on all of it? in David Sheepshanks words in January 2008. 'He does stand to make a huge profit'
It doesn't make me feel uncomfortable in the slightest! We can all make sweeping statements that can't be backed up with any evidence and then present them as facts! Are you Peter Mandelson by any chance?
That's the spirit, Jonny. If nothing else works, then a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through!
even clegg admits you're debt is, oh yes, exactly what i said it was all along! "The Club is insolvent. It trades at a loss and cannot pay its debts as they fall due." quoted from an ipswich fan on that article. some of you can see whats happening then... now this might not happen, but what would you say if you make an £18m (estimated) loss this season, based on last years results where i'll merely assume that the shortfall, made up for by a £7m loan from the owner and £11m of transfer sales will not be achieved again?
ok, sorry warky. it was guru and yorkie - thought it was you. but still, thats two fans who are totally deluded out of the three currently posting on this thread!
