    Can't really argue with that.
Southampton were giving us a football lesson first half and the whole team was chasing shadows.
That's why I thought we should be making sure we pressed them higher up the pitch.

We need PACE, PACE and more PACE!!!!

Would like to see Borini given a chance up front (that's not just a half either) unless we are bringing in a forward.

    Larsson - too slow!

    Cattermole - too slow!

Gus got a point with a sh*t team against a good team. He is making a fist of sh*te . He is working miracles . He will bring in good players, christ, Giacharrini's been great hasn't he ? he is no better than Laarson. While slagging Owen for his comments on here, my old man said our support looked sh*t on Sky , and it was sh*te in the ground. I was ashamed of some of them, when will they get behind the team ? Sad Fu*cks !

maybe i wasnt clear, I didnt say larsson and a^jozy werent ****, i said all of the players were so why pick on 2 of them?

also i didnt mention you personally in my rant

Jozy is lacking on confidence big time, but he has been involved in some important plays the last few games. fletcher is not a target man either, so who plays the lone striker? borini isnt the solution, he is outstanding as the support striker

This is something I don't think people appreciate. We are battling 3 fronts, which we all want, with a very average squad and struggling team.

I think he is managing that situation and our expectations very well.

Because they were the most ****?
And have been consistent in their being ****.

I know Altidore has managed to pass the ball to a better player a few times when he has been on the pitch.
I'm an old cripple and could manage to make a couple of good touches once in a blue moon.
Are you saying he deserves his place for doing something right once or twice in numerous games?

Borini is the only striker we have who looks like scoring. altidore should be sent out on loan and fletch given time to get fit. i thought the latter would come good but he looks alarmingly off the pace. so we defo need a new striker. whickham ain't the answer, nor is watmore.

as for Larsson...... just put him on a slow boat back to sweden. there were times when he laughed after ****ing up today. i wanted to put my foot through the screen and him.

Here Here Cest…. FFS give him a break, they were a canny team today and Gus's team came back from 2-0, when does that happen ? (and after Cardiff it isn't a coincidence) he will keep us up, judge his team selection next season.

This is really pissing me off now!!! How many half decent passes did altidore have during the game????

As far as I can remember he did not have one half decent chance to do anything!!!!!!

If the ball is humped long all game what can he do???

"I" appreciate that we are on three fronts, I also appreciate the most important front is the league.
We are in a position where we NEED to play our best players from the outset.
Then hopefully give players a rest if we get in front.

Squad rotation is for the top teams who have just as good players sitting on the bench as there are on the pitch.

That team today wasn't a weakened one it just didn't turn up until 30 mins from the end. There will be maybe one or 2 changes for Wednesday and more for kiddiminster but we are limited go who or what is the best team as we are merely shuffling deck chairs until Gus can recruit better.

We had our best back 5 put there and a midfield full of experience. Fletcher simply isn't fit enough to play 3 times in a week so Jozy started.

I'm not sure who else may have played other than Colback starting.

"I understand that, the positional play – the plan didn’t work, which I am responsible for, but then we were able to sort it out somehow, especially with the goal from Fabio [Borini], the half-time break and the substitutions.

We managed to get back in the game and got a point."
    Gus Poyet.

    At least he's honest.
    Thanks Gus. <applause>
Bruce would have invented some strange scenario involving alien abduction. :)

Gus may have got it wrong but at least he put it right right and got us a point.
That`s something PDC, MoN and Bruce would never have done.
    imo.

Is this the first manager we've had who actually has a plan b When things are going wrong

Yes he got it wrong . But he saw the problem and put it right

Could have even been a win today

    Onwards and upwards we go

    Gotta agree mate. <ok>
I just wish he had done it a wee bit earlier.

Just thought remember when Mourinho made changes after 10 minutes of a game?
Hahaha He had the commentators baffled.
He saw something wasn't working because of the way the oppos were handling them and didn't wait to alter things.
    They went onto win easily.
Of course we don't have the resources he had though. :)
