I am very surprised by this, very uncharacteristic of you, you are usually a great poster, but I cannot agree. On the actual football argument, I agree with you - I thought Redknapp was excellent for us and I was very disapointed he left and I had to change my username. But I reject the accusation of Spurf abusing his position as mod - I don't get that at all. Just a difference of opinion from what I can see. I hope you can clear the air on this, perhaps you two should discuss it privately?

SC probably reacted that way because there are posters on here who come out with the ridiculous "rose tinted specs" remark, as it has no basis other then to try and give the impression fans aren't being correct in viewing Redknapp as doing great for us. Too much is made of Redknapps negatives, especially the "failing under pressure".

For all the fans that choose not to remember Redknapp as being excellent, Since 1992 (the start of the premier league), how many times have we been in with real contention for 3rd place? failing to finish 3rd, is a position for a club such as ours, is something that doesn't happen often, our form was always bound to drop as if we carried on such form we would have been title contenders and unfortunately circumstances (which we remember) and Arsenal going on a great run stopped us gaining 3rd.

I've noticed alot of fans who have been claiming Avb was a "breath of fresh air" have changed their views, possibly because they never truly believed he was in the first place and the manner in which fans have turned on AVb so quickly, suggests some aren't being honest about what they miss, because what do fans miss?

    - Excitement
    - Top four finish
    - Champions league football & Exciting European nights at the lane
    - The skill of VDV, Modric & Bale
    - Entertainment

Which manager manager provided this? Harry Redknapp.

If anyone wants to remember the negatives of Redknapps reign, then that's their call, but since the premier league started how many managers have provided us with the entertainment, top four league finishes and champions league football? No answer other then none?, not bad for a manager who is "History".

Spurf is definitely one of our mods. Croydon was having a dig at someone else.

I don't get Spurcat's claim that Spurf was abusing his position. I think Spurf been an excellent mod and firmly believe the board would be worse without him. I don't exactly agree with Spurf's views on Harry; in a nutshell, while I would also not want him back at Spurs, it's despite the fact that I think he is an excellent manager. But that is exactly the sort of topic which posters debate. If Spurf's criticism of Harry was harsh, it joins a very, very long line of harsh criticism of many Spurs players and both managers we've had in the not606 era. I don't see why Harry should be an exception any more than AVB has been.

Sort of back on topic, wouldn't it look a little silly if we hire Harry, Hodgson is sacked (far from a remote possibility), and we get the same loss of form we got the last time we saw a "Harry for England" run of headlines, while he refuses to rule himself out of the running? Is there some reason why this won't happen that I don't know?

All three of our mods do a great job but the Redknapp topic is always one which causes a heated debate or completely differing views so I'm sure the personal comments from SC where just said in the heat of the moment.

All of us say comments in the heat of the moment when talking about subjects we're passionate about.

I wouldn't worry about us poaching your manager, Levy wouldn't eat that much humble pie. Now if Woy finishes bottom of the group in Brazil with nil points, then I would worry if I was you.

If Levy does bring back Harry, and that "if" is so big it can be seen from space, he would only be in place until the end of the season for that exact reason.

Okay, so let me get this straight.

Spurcat who's a Spurs fan had a go at Spurf who's also a Spurs fan, then Spurs Disciple and Junction8Spurs get involved, as does BajanSpur who all also happen to be Spurs fans and have a go at Spurcat for attacking fellow Spurs fan Spurf?

    Is that about right?

I'm not anti Harry in any way and honestly thought we were on the cusp of something great with him as our manager till the England job caused distractions.
Some of the football we played under Harry was the best I've seen at the Lane for a long time.
But there were also a number of games where we were appalling and it seems that some fans forget these games!

Under AVB this season it has been dire to watch on the whole and with the squad we've got then we should all expect to be doing far better than we have been of late.

I don't think that bringing Harry back will happen, Levy would have to admit to making a massive cock up which I just can't see happening.

AVB is in charge, whether we like it or not, and until the day he either leaves or is sacked (more likely) I'll back him as he manages the club we all love.

Harry was on talk sport yesterday a.m. and when levy was mentioned he didn't sound very enamoured.

By the way what are you doing over here Swords?

I'm boycotting the QPR Board. My actual residence is on the Chelsea Board for the time being. I just thought I'd drop in and see how y'all are doing here.

I am QPR like you so finding me was a co-incidence. I was wondering what the Spurs Fans thought about Defoe possibly leaving. That was why I was over here.

Ah, its you Jack! I didn't recognise you with the new Avatar. And I think there's another guy on this thread with "Croydon" in his name so I figured you was a Spuds fan.

Looks like I've been rumbled back there on our Board. Not an awful lot of sympathy it must be said :(
