Yes, I'd buy Benayoun - for around £3m on a one year deal. He's shown this season that he's more than adequate for our squad and he doesn't mind coming in when called upon. He's actually a very versatile players and opens up spaces for other players with his movement off the ball. He's also quick footed and can shift the play very quickly and directly, the comparisons with Rosicky are accurate - and together they offer a lot on the left.

I don't think he's a long term solution - and I'd still like to see us bring in a top class attacking midfielder this summer, don't forget that this season we have been without Fabregas, Nasri, Wilshere and Diaby and I think there's still room in our team for a top talent in the Fabregas mould.

DROGS - let this be a lesson to you. Drinking on park benches with dubious company might get you ejected from the ranks of MOD.

The SYD police can't find the field CYM does his thing in, and PISKIE is often fingering his favourite instrument.
Don't deny it Pisk - you already admitted it.

oh dear - off to CAG....

  15. Yes I would sign him on a year long deal. Good squad player. Hated the thought of him playing for us at first, but he always works hard and was one of the key players in our demolition of Spurs.

Great squad player who has a high workrate when called upon - I would certainly sign him for the right price.

I'm not sure though, if Chelski would sell him to us after they see that he's doing quite well.

Not sure how this makes any sense.
Paying £3m for a player we only intend making use of for a year and who will have a zero sell on value ?
If he's bought then he'll be bought on a min 2 year contract more likely 3 year, don't rule out the option of extending his loan spell for a further 12 months, Chelsea don't want him back and whilst someone else is paying his salary it's compensating for his depreciating value.

Personally I'd say no, he's proved to be a good squad player but nothing more in my opinion, we have others who are equally capable for me....

I think Bendtner wil be pulling the cart rathe rthan being in it.

as to Yossi, I always liked him but don't think he suits a top club, he needs to play every week and he isn't really going to get that in a top 4 side.

Well if we could get him for around 3 million, then I don't see why not? He would make a good squad player, he's experienced too, so that could benefit the rest of the team, we need to stop getting rid of the older players, you look at Manunited and they haven't done so, and it's always benefited them, even Chelsea have kept the old guard (quite more than need be) and it's also helped them at times, like winning the league back in 2010 when they looked out of it by January. You need older players around, they have a calmer head, seen it all before, get less panicky etc. We are looking like an experienced side now with the likes of RVP, Vermaelen, Benayoun, Arteta, Rosicky, they are all in the ages of players with lots of experience.
