Looking at the state and age of those so called city supporters on the vid, I would be surprised if they ever had a social conscience - just an opportunity to have a go at the old bill
The disturbing thing about it was the general and organised nature of it. It looked as though they were trying their level best to provoke a reaction, possibly to justify their presence. Being treated like a criminal, threatened with being arrested for no reason and being assaulted for no reason is nothing new, but it was very sinister the way the SYP went about it on Saturday.
The South Yorkshire OB reap what they sow Not death, but if the class all football fans as thugs and yobs, they shouldn't be surprised that fans in turn class them as liars, corrupt, criminals in uniform with 96 deaths from 1989 on their hands. Really can't understand how anyone has a go at our fans given recent legal/judicial events surrounding that game 23 years ago. I eagerly await the first prison sentences handed down to the corrupt murdering bastards of the South Yorkshire constabulary. A but of chanting and beer spraying in the concourse is nothing. Get a grip, ffs.
City Agro you are such a twat, your second paragraph summed it up ( a game 23 yrs ago) most of the beer spraying ******s were not even born then. You are the one who should be getting a grip..
a couple of quotes of interest: "SOUTH Yorkshire Police officers baton-charged Hull City fans during the Yorkshire derby at Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday after being taunted with chants about the Hillsborough disaster...." ".....and a food stall was closed after pies were thrown at officers...." So Hillsborough pies are as good as misslies it seems? A spokesman for SYP said: " Them pies really really hurt, so we naturally responded with batons!"
How does the fact that the events took place 23 years ago or that some people involved were not even born then have any relevance to this discussion? Your comment is both illogical and irrelevant. Trust you don't buy a poppy every year?
I'm not sure it matters which ground it's at, we've always had 'run-ins' with the Bizzies of South Yorkshire. Be it Donny, Barnsley, Rotherham or the Sheffield sides, the police round there have pushed visiting fans from pillar to post and then if anyone was to say "What the hell???" they've wasted no time in dishing out the batons. School Bullies. That's all they are.
...and murderers, and criminals who perverted the course of justice at a national not just local level.
I do buy a poppy every year but I don't abuse Germans and chant or throw beer at them. Luckily I have grown up. Apart from being at Hillsborough nobody there on Saturday had any connection to a dreadful event that happened 23 yrs ago. Most people deal with issues like this in an intelligent manner. I guess you would expect visiting fans from all the teams that play Wednesday this season to act in the same way, or just our small group of idiots.
I don't think anyone disagrees that Hillsborough was a terrible event and the actions of SYP were disgraceful during and in the aftermath of the tragedy, but I don't see how that justifies taunting the current SYP about it. Chances are they weren't part of SYP back then, so why hurl abuse at them for the mistakes their colleagues of the past made? If people want to voice their opinions on the issue so badly, why not attempt to voice them at the people more directly concerned with the matter? The war was a terrible event, but all reasonable people don't feel the need to go to Germany and chant stuff about it.
There are plenty of people still working for SYP who were either at Hillsborough or knew about it and chose to say nothing, no whistleblowers, no one coming forward to say their statement had been edited- this despite recent evidence of large scale tampering with witness statements, media manipulation, invented stories about urinating on bodies and stealing from corpses, denial of access to ambulances that could have saved dozens of lives, bent coroners, bent safety certificates to ensure Hillsbrough got its semi-final, invention of fans rushing the gate etc All this co-ordinated by the SYP. As I say , many of the guilty and those in the know still working there and keeping their heads down. SYP hold collective responsibility as a police force, and they all have to carry the can until they cough up the guilty piggies. Astonished that some so-called fans back the corrupt SYP against our own supporters. Shame on you.
Reasonable people would never go to Germany and chant stuff about the war. I think the churchill bloke with the Hull City flag might have said something, but I think he got away with it.
I tried to think of some way to drill into your thick skull how stupid it is to go doing things like that, but I've just decided you're too much of a ****ing moron to understand, and can't be arsed. I'm guessing you were involved, if not then you are just an incredible specimen of **** wit.
Yes the city boys were a bit excited on Saturday but if the SYP hadnt stormed in like they did then nothing would have happened
I'v read your angry and aggressive answer. Nothing of substance to respond to in it. Please feel free to post again on this subject or thread if you have a contribution to make, though.
