Get the impression Gillingham fc are starting to less than impress of late, after all the early words of Martin Allen saying "we would only get better as the season progresses" and "when we do, watch out"...am i missing something because that gap is getting tighter for all concerned and it feels like we have been here too many times before and it's not a sight i like to see. where has all our midfield battle gone, where's our creative side gone, where is our efforts/supply line on goal gone and most of all...GOALS ! without Cody McDonald of late, we would have even less points on the board and that's a big big concern, because not only are we not scoring, i hear Huddersfield have now been given permission to speak to mark robins of Coventry and that to me means heading for one outcome...which is McDonald being recalled very shortly by the new man incharge and then we are left with burton...hit & miss, birchall...miss, Weston...helpful, but not his positon and kedwell...who is not going to pull up trees being honest. i'm very concerned now because that promise of a better team right about now from Martin Allen is not surfacing anytime soon and it doesn't look like occouring either i say....a better Gillingham team for the division above, should we achieve it, is a long long way off. it's all gone very wrong lately and we look a shambles in many areas of the pitch, especially without someone to step on the ball and show us the way forward and the longer it goes on the closer teams will get and games will run out for us, because we don't have that player at the club anymore. our team needs members on loan in midfield and attacking areas or we will fail...maybe only by a small margin but fail all the same !!!
Talk of a reported new loan signing tomorrow, oops sorry today! A few of the lads (supporters) mentioned it on twitter. I was told it was mentioned on Facebook (I don't do that) by KentOnline and KSN. Don't know any more than that.
Pretty lackluster last night, first half we absorbed their pressure but if it wasn't for so woeful finishing could have been behind. Even the second half wasn't much better, we pushed on a little more but the final ball was awful, too many corners and freekicks not making it past the first man!
Looks like if you have a big enough rant our wishes can come true..."FAIL", who's failing...lets hope that's now been put to bed with a couple of little gems
