They don’t get English football mate. They’re used to holding American franchises that they can literally move somewhere else if they fancy it. Whereas football here is still community based and part of our history in a way they’ll never understand. Both of the clubs owners leading this haven’t put a ****ing bean into their clubs either. The Yanks at United literally bought the club with its own money and take over £20m a year out in salaries, the Red ****e’s owners have invested £0 into that club. No wonder they fancy upping their own revenues off the back of everyone else and stopping people entering the game who fancy investing in their clubs with their own cash. They should be lobbed in a wood chipper.
They'll be threatening to move the clubs if they don't get their own way. Americans sports are boring. American fans have as much passion as a turd.
Even if the Liverpool owners move Liverpool, Everton still wouldn't be top club. @Tobes Tran......mereeeeee
As I say its less about percentages or where the money is coming. I'm simply saying that giving up some of the wealth to lower clubs is a good thing. It should have always been happening. Percentages and where it comes from is not the big thing here. The fundamental issue is governance, namely the governance of the game and finances that are derived from it. Its weird that the PL have got it to the point where they think they are giving handouts. They should not have control of the money at all. We allowed football to become like any other business. It should never be the case because its so much more than just football. Its intrinsically linked to communities etc. I don't know how you can do it now but I think the governance of it all should be ripped away from the PL and clubs.
That’s the view they’re banking on though mate. Seeing this as somehow levelling up the game when the reality would be the complete converse. Their supposed altruism is with other clubs cash, and their ‘price’ for this fake altruism is that they’d get to completely control the game, from the PL rules to the future TV deals..... The argument about the existence of the PL and whether it was for the betterment of the game was one that was had and done nearly 30 years ago mate, it’s never going back to what it was.
It isn't but it is the reason we are where we are. We sold our soul to the devil, and now he wants paid. Its great that its always "so many clubs need to agree". I don't think the clubs should have any ****ing say! It should be centrally controlled for the benefit of all. As you say none of this will change, so its simply about polishing turds. I struggle to get too animated anyway. Football is a bag of **** now
Don’t the dildo brothers own West Ham? anyhow the sports minister basically said today that if the government need to step in to stop this ****housery it will.
Which is actually their way of saying: "We want a cut too, so throw us a bung and we'll back it through for you."
This is so blatantly corrupt and biased that you could almost believe Rick Parry used to be the chief executive of Liverpool
It would need to be ****ing mahoosive. Lockdown has turned me into an inverse Tardis - I'm bigger on the outside!!
