How many times do you need telling. The Headline Game was not for prize money unlike The Manc’s Prediction League game.
Problem is that the money to support the EFL, was partly coming from cancellation of parachute payments. By dropping those they would have saved ~270million quid per year, which is probably a large part of the 25% future revenue they were promising EFL. I actually agree with cancellation of the parachute payments and give that money across the EFL, rather than just to three relegated teams. It would mean that teams coming up, and even teams in lower part of league would have to take on players on 1 year contracts. It would also be a pity if Sunderland benefit from a change in the system after spectacularly wasting their 3 years worth. Maybe make them pay that back first.
I don't want to be associated with that club anymore. I have cancelled my season tickets and plan to use the money saved as a prize for this season Prediction League after their disgraceful recent behaviour.
Its the premise of this negotiation and attaching conditions that is wrong. The PL should be getting **** all out of this situation. The PL clubs should be getting **** all in return for the bailout. Holding a gun to their heads like this is disgusting. I hope this doesn't get swept and these ****s are made to suffer in some way. I can't wait till we're all dressed like Sheiks at Old Trafford waving to the Glazers. But yes of course Sunderland should not be helped in any way.
I don't understand this at all. Are these big clubs now trying to hide in plain sight or something? please log in to view this image We can see you lads, its no good!
Fantastic from the EFL telling the PL to stick their latest offer of 50m in grants and interest free loans. I think the PL have a duty to give back to football in this country free of charge. I don't care how pie in the sky that is, the ****s have been at it for years. More than anything though its good they are leaking to the press that they know exactly what they're up to. The old divide and conquer routine has been engaged, trying to deal with the Championship clubs separately. The EFL have rejected it and said they'll reject anything that excludes any of its members. That's right PL, they can all see what you're trying to do so get ****ed. That slimeball Masters comments are sickening. "Clearly there's some frustration a proposal that hadn't had any input from the Premier League, from our clubs, has been pushed so hard in public," he said. "But we don't have a beef with the EFL, certainly not with its clubs. We want to have a good relationship with them. We're their biggest partner. "We have a historic relationship with them. So we want it to be constructive." Does he honestly think anyone is believing this bullshit? "Honest guv, it wasn't us". Someone needs to penetrate that bloke with a rusty spike.
Agreed, EPL should be putting more money down the pyramid regardless of anything else. Maybe a set amount each year as a group and then 5-10% of what you spend in transfers and agents fees must be put back to the clubs below as well.
