Think Rachubka will end up being No.1 despite the "providing coompetition within the squad"speech, with a younger keeper as back-up,& if that is the case think we should at least give the guy a chance before slating him. He's a solid pro.
Though Ive no doubt Dudek would be a great keeper, we need more consitency than just signing a one season hero. I'll be a pretty disappointed if it turns out Kasper was sold for £1m, as while I don't think he was as amazing as some make out, he is a damn good keeper and would have been useful to have around this season. I think people are giving Rachubka a bit of a rough deal jumping all over him already, he's proven at this level so let's at least give him a chance. I do think he will end up as backup but even so, it smacks of the judgement Clayton had poured on him after 5mins of play last season.
Just been on Sky Sports that we are interested in him plus we are expecting a bid from West Ham for Gradel.
I have no dout West Ham will bid for Gradel but I just see another Snoddy to Norwich situation i.e. we tell them to stick their bid where the sun don't shine and they lose interest.
Sky are pretty reliable but we'll tell west ham to **** off. im still undecided on dudek, he hasnt really played for 4 years
another link... daily mail say we have actualy put in a bid for him http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ious-bid-Real-Madrid-keeper-Jerzy-Dudek.html?
I think sometimes people get confused between kasper and his dad - he's an average championship keeper at best and was part of a horrific defensive unit last year, regardless of what we sold him for if we use that money to bring in a better keeper its a good deal, perhaps Smithies or Fraser Forster
