Good stuff as usual Col. I'm a bit late on here today, and everything that needed to be said has been.

I'm quietly confident that we will do ok this season. We'll play a lot worse than yesterday and win and play a lot better and lose over the course of the coming season. We could of scored two or three but it wasn't to be our day.

Surely Hill would be comfortable on the left?As for Traore, he worries me. A wing back should be adept at defending as well as attacking, and I'm not confident that he is really up to either discipline. The fact that Yun does not get a game is also concerning; do we believe that he is better than he really is?

NO NO NO PLEASE GOD DONT LET THIS HAPPEN

Good write up Col

I thought Traore was ok but i fear for Simpson.

Its got to be Rio, Caulker & Ned for me im afraid.

Charlie needs a goal to get his confidence back up quickly and why did Remy not take it?

a decent start (except the score) for us, and a couple mor signings should see us ok.
Also Im guessing Hoddle hasnt hd that much time to make changes so was taking a back seat and assesing players on Sat.

With his influence we'll get better i think. <ok>

<laugh><laugh> He will get back into the team at some point. How many times has he been written off so far? There is only a *** paper between him and Dunne in my opinion.

Possibly you've answered your own question.

We've had the penalty taking duties shared before, Helguson and you-know who, maybe that will happen again.

From someone who is halfway around the world and did not see the game, many thanks for an informative post of the game. ( still in ruddy Toowoomba )

Have I heard this before, many positives to take from the game, had most possession, most chances on goal, missed a penalty, deserved a point etc etc, bottom line "we lost at home to ****ing hull"

Yeah fair enough Wherever, but we've still got few weeks of transfer window activity (as do they) and most teams, ours included will look diffrent by then.

There were positive but as you say, we dropped a point there. i didnt ever have us to win this and believe to many people have prematurely written them off. they are a decent squad/team and will beat many others this season.

at least we are going forwards as a team <ok>

Cheers Col......didn't catch any of the match except the short highlights shown on MOTD, so can't comment.

Judging by all the comments we weren't so bad, so hopefully we can improve this week and maybe a point at WHL on Sunday is not out of the question.

Up the R's

Good report, Col, and good to see you back too.

I thought Traore had one of his better games, though his defensive play is generally lacking.

Charlie's problems are in his head. I think he's intimidated by playing at the highest domestic level and it shows in his confidence and the way he took that penalty. He'll step up, I'm sure.
