Just had the Suns player reports read out to me... Samba - If he were any less mobile, he would have a floodlight on his head Hoillet - Not sure what he was meant to be doing but, whatever it was, he didn't do it. Remy - Must be wondering how the hell he ended up playing for this lot. Time for a new agent ! About spot on in my book
It meant I could pop down Tescos and get a bottle of Vanilla Vodka to drown my sorrows......But even that had run out
I know exactly what you mean mate. I was going to write a matchday journal, but I gave up after 2 paragraphs. So were Stan and I the only ones who stayed until the bitter end? What a bunch of quitters you all are. I actually stayed for a few minutes passed the end to watch the stadium empty, similar to after the Swansea match all those months ago. It got to the point, and pretty quickly, where there was only one other bloke and myself in the upper loft. After a while he looked at me, we shrugged and left; no words were necessary. Of the players I thought Derry gave a typically Derry performance. He played well within his known limitations, was always available for a pass, moved the ball on sensibly, made a decent number of tackles. I also thought that Ben Haim played well out of position, he looked more secure and comfortable than the rest of the defence. I imagine that we have seen the end of Townsend for the season now making us even more reliant on Taarabt. When they were both off the field we had nothing up front, nothing at all. I've never heard the home support so quite. As Stan pointed out you could hear the players, and we were in the back row of the upper loft. The only real highlight was the chorus of "We ****ing hate Mark Hughes". Roll on August
We stayed till the end too. Can't blame anyone for going early, but I just can't do it....not sure why. We could hear the players clearly too..........very muted atmosphere.
Hi Brix, interesting point re MKD. I remember going to that game thinking. "How nice. For once we are going to beat lower league competition comfortably". The first of many bubbles popped this season. I've managed to never leave a game early but I'm fairly local and its just a personal thing for me. Completely understand those who did.
Agree wth staines i felt like that after 65mins couldn't se us scoring, no bite nothing & felt like leaving which i've never done before, we wern't offering nothing & i just sat there in amazement, i did stay till the end though but i don't want to feel like that again, but there again with have 2 more home matches omg.
It's going to be very strange at those two games. Feel for my lad, but he's had some good times with Rangers already so he'll get used to this side of things I'm sure.
I love this club passionately as we all do but I feel i am about to give birth to the Taj Mahal of pig **** rants ... this season has left me ... bamboozled ... my mind is no longer working correctly. I feel like setting fire to something
Great Scott! I was about to post those identical words!! No lover of Norwich. Not sure why you hate them but for me it's just because it seems they are a bogie team for us that we seem to hardly ever beat.
"Great Scott"..........love it! Many reasons for hating Norwich....losing to them the year we should have won the league/their pukey kit/their wums over the points deduction saga/yellow ****ing clappers handed out to fans/Delia ****ing Smith/Grant ****ing Holt/the fact that they're such a homely, lovey-dovey, shimmy-shammy, flimmy-flammy, everyone's favourite family club....to name but a few. That's better!!
Under the circumstances, perhaps sir might consider torching a decent spliff to Carrow Road. Excellent for quiet contemplation (so I've heard) and far less time involved!
I too stayed until the bitter end, and bitter it certainly was. Following the departures of Townsend and Taarabt we were hopeless, no not hopeless, downright awful! Every bit as bad as Southampton at home. At the final whistle I just stood and made my way to the exit with that same air of pending doom that has been with me for all but two home games this season. One other thought did find it's way into my little mind though, and that was how glad I am that I don't live in Stoke, I really wouldn't be able to cope with watching that every week! The highlight of my day by a long, long way was a few beers prior to the game with Finglas and Rollercoaster, thanks chaps, a pleasure as always!
