At the final whistle, BAE shook hands with the nearest Blackpool player and marched off down the tunnel. I never want to see him in a QPR shirt again..........he doesn't give a **** about us! He also played crap for most of the game. Yun must wonder exactly what he has to do!!
Ours is a detached viewpoint which allows us to see the bigger picture rather than having to suffer the highs and lows of the game-going fans. I feel for the lads that had to see that yesterday, I really do. But results wise we're doing fine and next week we might go away and win. Its all good IMO.
Hold on, a player who has the "common decency & respect" to shake hands with the oppo... Whats wrong with that? what am i missing.? Are you complaining he didnt come over and applaud all those who had been on his back giving him s**t for 90 mins...even though they were supposed to be HIS OWN SUPPORTERS...? Wasnt there so cant say, but your comment sounds a bit weak TBH !
What you're missing is the clear fact that BAE couldn't give a flying **** about us. He jogs around, posing on the ball and never breaks sweat. If that's what you want from our players, fair enough.
Play out of your skin and get dropped, what carrot is there for anyone to do well when you know Redknapp will play his favs no matter what. Play the players who deserve to play.
Even the match report in the Sunday Times, referred to "tactical errors" in Harry's selection/formation ???
Did he have a different backroom team at spurs because he looks like a Paul hart level of manager, we saw that someone like McLaren can correct his failings behind the scenes but his mistakes are so bad that they are unbelievable.
I have watched this argument from afar...but feel..I need to say something too (just to get it out of my system) Firstly, we have got a horrendous injury list supplemented by the odd red card here and there. It is a difficult situation...and thank you Harry and TF for getting a large and fairly versatile squad to use....Think where Burnley would be in our position. I think Harry had a difficult job putting out a credible team on Saturday, he also knows who is carrying injuries and who is not quite fit...we do not.....BUT.... And this is where I am getting somewhat frustrated...it is not that he tried a 3-5-2 formation, with wing backs, it was a good idea, bearing in mind who we had fit...but it is Harry's inability to take even a small gamble or see raw talent and go with someone who is a tried and tested warrior. There is nothing wrong with Hughes ( I would have him on our bench anyday), he tries, he cares, he does his best...but he is limited. To play him as an attacking wing back...is unfair to him. BAE although he has flair and ability has no speed or inclination to attack forward. I would have applauded the team selection on Saturday if BAE/Hughes had been replaced by Suk-Young and Hoillet Although I did not like the Bobby/Keane front two, I could understand it...but was shocked at the difference between Bobby on Tuesday and on Saturday, and put this down to tiredness. Again Harrys ability to use exciting substitutions was hindered by injuries...but oh I wish he would blood a youngster And that is where I am getting so frustrated...we seem to have youngsters that can deliver to other teams......why not blood them here. Harry is just too scared to lose...that it is beginning to be our downfall...I believe we will make the playoffs...but it will take a miracle to get to wembley All gone now...feel better Come on u RRRS
Thank you I didn't watch or see the game as was too busy and no tickets left. Nice to hear Hoilett had a good one after so many on here slag him off as being another SWP! ... I rate them both Henry has been the linchpin of this team since i said so at the start so good to also hear he did his job As for tactics well Harold is now at last on here being found right out. Really missed opportunity as at 7 points it really 100% on as Burnley will lose against Wigan and possibly at Watford now the fake hoops have to turn them over but we have to get our results sorted first ... I ain't giving up
Why would we start simpson when he's been out for months? Rehabilitating long term injuries from the bench is hardly groundbreaking, yet you've somehow twisted it into a stick to beat redknapp with. I don't know how we could've made blackpool "Look like Barcelona" in the first half when they barely touched the ball. We probably had about 70% of possession, and they scored from their one shot on target and one corner of the game. I'd have liked to see Yun and Hoillet start too, but I've no idea what's going on behind the scenes. Hoillet's hardly torn up trees in his recent starts, he always seems more effective from the bench. Maybe arry' doesn't want to mess about with his LB selection this late into the season, when BAE has already had time to "gel" with the squad. We need a consistent lineup going into the playoffs.
Great report Col and thanks for that. After Junior came on, it really was the Hoilett, Morrison and Simpson show! Carrol and Henry did ok. BAE seems too worried to have a go in case the crowd get on his back - even more. First half probably worst I've seen for a while but, like Roller, I really thought we had enough to win in the second half. Very disappointed. It's a discussion had many times on this board but I've never booed my ream and I never will.
Mess about with LB? He's had Yun, hill and bae there in the last 3 games. Why not just keep Yun there after his motm performance when he played there?
As far as I am aware it is much the same, I dont recall hearing Harry requesting someone and was refused. But like any senior person, you are only as good as your inner circle, and if he felt he was missing a certain skill set, surely he would just have to ask ????
Was BAE that bad ?The highlights on another thread show him delivering a perfect cross in the first half, and one of his not such great admirers said he delivered one we should have scored from (Maibo I think) at the end.
Its strange because its clear he really doesn't have a clue, we only get results because we are spending ten times as much as our opposition and we are clearly being handicapped by his management. Team selection, motivation, formation etc everything is wrong. Especially when you consider the backing he has been given. The really stupid thing is if we somehow squeak up, some on here will want to keep him and just think how embarrassing that will be when we are playing PL sides under his management. Sir les and Clive Allen were the spurs attacking coaches so I think they have to take credit for the spurs attacking football because its clearly not down to Redknapp.
You are right Sooper. When Bournemouth came to us they looked a good passing side, and were unlucky to lose by 3. It'll be a tough game next week and if we dont play with more energy and purpose I could see us getting thumped. Redknapp of couyrse will then blame it on the injuries, the to**er.
Yep, I don't think it is possible for anyone to overlook the situation anymore. The tactics yesterday were so blatantly inept it was painful, and even then things only changed when injuries forced HRs hand. Keane and Carroll 6? You're having a laugh.
You're one of the few who thought Carroll didn't play well mate, or are you saying he and Keane should have been marked higher?
