in all fairness i would have loved to go but i couldnt afford the travel so spent the day drunkenly wandering around wareham celebrating my birthday with free drinks!
No coach to the KC from Filey till the league season starts , then there's a coach to all home games.. Always looking for lift to away games from the Filey / Scarborough Area and will pay all petrol costs .
i think after a good start to the season attendances will pick up. Bruce will turn around the fans opinions i think
Alright lads havent been on for a while but i was there saturday in the east stand, & it was woeful. the crowd wouldnt have filled more than west stand if all put together, a few people tried to get some singing going but not a lot of the loud & mostly funny type of regulars there to be honest. As for the game i thought apart from Chester, Mckenna, Dudgeon & Fryatt most where mediocre at best. If thats our form going into the start of the season we are donald ducked !! No shape to the team after 20 minutes. Most ball watching and didnt really look up for the game. I think to be honest SB will be a it like browny and not have a plan B. Dont get me wrong i think we will do alright but not sure on that performance that we will be challenging for a play off place, mid table tops. I will still be heading down the KC every home game im home for regardless, cos thats what us real fans do. As long as they at least put the effort in i'm happy. Looking forward to Saturday i just hope im home, hate having to try and listen on radio if im even in the UK. UTT
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Dog8KphoM-g Just found this on Youtube, i'd say 2,000 from Rotherham Also http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JA6bZ3iZN3o the walk on music
On the video it pans round and shows their fans wearing the away kit, amber with a black bit across the chest and the sponsor underneath.
Supply and demand lambo , we are all customers now , City need to drop the prices , I couldn't care less about 'welcoming' Steve Bruce , sorry I can't afford to go to meaningless games , you might not have heard of it but theres a recession and we are all skint
Fair comment, but I don't accept that the majority of our support couldn't afford to go, I think they just couldn't be arsed, which I find disappointing. And that's from someone who thinks Barmby should still be our manager.
I went, but I still agree with you. This isn't Real Madrid and Mourinho, it's Hull City and Steve Bruce. Fans need some indication that we are going to be at least a bit more entertaining this season, which for some is more important than seeing us get a result. Sadly, from the results we had pre-season and the performance on Saturday, I'm already worried that this won't be the case. I know it's tangential to the original post, but I would like to say that I think we need a serious overhaul of our squad.
I was positive until a few weeks ago, then we failed to beat teams from each of the three leagues below us and scored just twice! And to top it off, I had to watch that performance on Saturday!
You won't be saying that at ten-to-five on Saturday, as Brighton rattle in their 10th goal of the afternoon
We'll see. I don't have my crystal ball on me at the moments, so can't see what the outcome of the Brighton match will be.
