    like i said, the manager and the fans are right that pre season means nothing. for the same reasons as you said, we have had good pre season and a shocking season.

    but the point im making, to the players it does mean something especially to the strikers. its their chance to hit form.

    I actually think it's important to get to the new season with as few injuries as possible. We've had a few terrible pre seasons when key players were then out for half a season or more. Speaking of which, brunt clearly has problems.

    brunts injury last night is nothing to do with the injury he has had for nearly a year. which is a positive.

    also here is a tweet from brunt... "So good to play in the game tonight, came off just to tight shin! Knee is fine!"

    someone replied "panic over"

    brunt replied back "nothing to panic over! Feeling good."

    I really hope he does the business for us. If he does too well, then obviously he'll be gone by Christmas, but we could certainly do with an injection of quality which he should be able to bring.
