Winning is all that matters. I've never seen a side promoted yet that were good all season. The key is to win when you're not at your best, which is exactly what we did.

Managed to see my beloved Leicester for the 1st time this season and I have to say my overall opinion is 'must do better'. Although we won we weren't exactly convincing!!!

Kasper had very little to do, made a couple of saves which were pretty routine, oh yeah and picked the ball out of the back of the net after their penalty, which was a penalty by the way, as was ours.
Too many wayward passes for my liking, gave the ball away far to often and we ended playing the long ball, which when one of their defenders is nearly 10' tall is ridiculous, thought Dyer & Vardy had excellent games and Morgan & Moore were immense at the back.

Midfield seemed to go missing at times, although Knocky had a reasonable game, he wasn't up to his usual standard. De Laet had a poor game for me and the rest were average. Once we went 2-0 up, Yeovil were there for the taking, but we sat back and when they scored they were the better side, but, fortunately, their final ball was poor and they never looked like scoring.

Got to say though, the Yeovil fans were fantastic and very friendly if a bit quiet at times. Therd were times when the whole ground was silent, you could've heard a pin drop :'(:'(

But hey-ho 3 points is 3 points and we're now 4 points clear of 4th place.

UTF.

Glad you at least finished on a positive note. Joint top of the table but must do better . Lol dear me

I think he/she meant our overall play in that game could of been better & our overall football in the next game needs to improve a touch. I didn´t see the game so I can´t really comment to much, but I doubt he´s having ago about having 23 from 30 pts & being joint top :)

It's the pace in the side - Vardy has won the most and also RDL ... Vardy's first instinct is to get into the box as quickly as possible which is paying bonuses - one thing to stress, he is no Ashley Young, the defenders are doing the 'diving' here not Vardy - diving in because that first burst catches them out - great tactic - he either gets a shooting chance or is clattered.

BBC says they had 19 shots and we had 23 <yikes> 42 shots in 90 minutes!? Unheard of!?

I don't know which game they were watching then, because I certainly didn't see 42 shots in the game <confused>

Also, glad to see NP agrees with what I said earlier in the thread,

"We should of been out of sight, let´s be honest."

"We could of had six."

"On another night we could of been frustrated by having not putting them out of sight."

"It´s a good win."

"It could of been more convincing, but we will improve."

My point was that as a top of the table side, we should be putting teams like Yeovil to the sword. Although last season we would probably have lost this game.

In fact didn't we lose against all the relegated sides last season???

Oh just one more thing, Jeff Schlupp, I was really looking forward to watching this young man when he came on as a sub, but I was very disappointed with him, to my mind he didn't really put a shift in, I know he only came on in the last 10 minutes, but he just didn't seem to want to chase things down, unlike Vardy who never stopped harrying and chasing all night.

Ah well time for work.

Regards

Seems that Pearson shares some of my concerns - we need to be converting around the 1 in 3 to 1 in 4 mark IMHO .... because we may find the number of goal attempts constricted against some of the better teams ... if you contrast our win at Yeovil with QPR (just going from my recollection of the BBC reporter on Final Score) Yeovil played really well against QPR who, according to the reporter, defended well and scored with their only clear cut chance ... now yes we scored two goals rather than just the one but we will not always have the luxury of that many chances ... shooting practice this week lads!
