Look there were areas for improvement sure, but we're a brand spanking new team who were playing away at the favorites to win the league... i am absolutely over the moon with todays game. Sure there are creases to iron out but we won away at WHU and kept a clean sheet and i for one cannot ask for any more than that.

The work ethic without the ball was brilliant, yes we have things to work on but we wont come up against many stronger midfields this season

The fact that different people are claiming different players were MOTM is a positive thing, it means we didn't have one stand out player, but instead played reasonably well as a team, which bodes very well for the season to come.

West Ham looked good at times, but their liability between the sticks showed why he's classed as a liability. Brilliant goalkeeper, but you're always waiting for his one big mistake. They could struggle massively this season, IMO.

Watched it on TV with my Aussie brother-in-law, (not the City fan, Cardiff lad, on our side, but an egg chaser) My 16 year old nephew, who had never really watched a "proper" game in his life before (big Aussie Rules fan) well by the end we had him doing the Ayatollah............he still doesn't know why <ok> I guess joy is just infectious, Tough three points away from home, they were favourites to win auto............having beaten them, I guess that's us now ;)

The best thing for me was the way they played for each other off the ball, still a few things to sort out but we're getting there.

As DJ would say, lets see where we are after 10 games.

Got to be honest, I had tears in my eyes after full time lol we had something we didn't have all last season and that was 'effort' in the last 10 minutes, defensively we started quite good and got better, 11 corners conceded and no goals from any of them, that's got to be good lol.
