He is one of my favourite players but his behaviour on this is making him look bad. As for Muslims celebrating birthdays, there is nothing in the religion that says you should celebrate birthdays. This is purely a cultural thing. Each to his own.
Probably more than just a cake. There may be a race issue, maybe they shook everyone else's hand and ignored him and he felt that they were moving him out next season, and maybe they ignored all the players and he felt like a slave to owners who don't look at the players like anything more than a piece of meat. No telling what is going on. The BBC has sunk to a new low in this piece. If they can't get to the bottom of what this is really about, they shouldn't publish this crap. I'm not pro-City, but this is sensationalist garbage of the worst kind. "We don't know what this is really about so let's publish something and make it sound interesting."
He's not their only black player, so if they shook everybody's hands, that would mean they shook other black players hands. And he feels like a slave? LOL yeah ok, making 200k a week, being kept at one of the city's best hotels, all first class treatment, yeah man, real slave. He can go **** HIMSELF with his massive ego, this has nothing to do with race, but his big head that's so far up his ass. Just like the whole African controversy thing he made few weeks back, it has nothing to do with him being African that he's not recognised as the best or in the leagues of Messi and Ronaldo, it's just that he isn't the worlds best!
Where do I sign up though to become a new slave? Sounds good to me, 200k a week, bonus', getting first class treatment at hotels, private jet, man I wanna be a slave so badly now! You don't have to wish me happy birthday, don't shake my hand, heck give me bad looks and insult me if you want. . Speaking of birthdays, it was my birthday yesterday, and I just went out alone to the strip club had dinner there (sounds depressing I know), had a few drinks, and didn't tell anyone it was my birthday. This guy needs to get the **** over himself.
First, there was a comma between the two items. In other words, perhaps they shook everyone else's hand, OR maybe they only shook the white players hand's. Secondly, I admit slave was a bad choice of words. Prostitute maybe? Even the highest paid people want to feel appreciated and loved.
I honestly do not think this is about money. It is about respect. Yaya has been their best, most consistent and important player over the last 3 seasons, he's the main reason they won the 2 league titles, fa cup and league cups. His rant about African players is spot on. He is not the best, but he'd be in the conversation if he was European or South American. If he and his agent feel that the club is not giving him enough respect(whether it be $, cakes, hand shaking etc.) then that's how they feel. Personally I'd love if he suited up for Arsenal. A lot of comments here are saying he's got a massive ego, hate to break it to you but 99% of the PL does, City catering to Yaya, is no different to Rooney at Utd, Suarez getting begged by Liverpool to stay etc. forgetting your top player's b-day is not good business in my opinion.
