Apparently on the verge of signing a short term deal after spending the week training with the Club.
Strange no mention of this on here, well, it is a football forum, but still crap being thrown at a previous Manager.

Players routinely spend a week ‘on trial’ and nothing comes of it more often than not.

It has been mentioned on Planet Swans.

You could easily have noted that the rumours about the Chairman haven’t been mentioned here.

Per Wales Online today:

Swansea City boss Michael Duff says he is hopeful of signing free agent Yannick Bolasie on a short-term deal.

The former Everton and Crystal Palace winger, 34, has trained with the club this week and could join ahead of Wednesday's trip to Leeds.

"Yannick's been in the building for a week. Hopefully that'll get done," said Duff. "He hasn't got the pace and power he once had, but you don't get bought for £25m (by Everton) if you don't know how to handle a football. It'll be a two-month deal and we'll see how it goes from there."

Talking of people who left the club, I see Michael Obafemi has managed one appearance this season for Burnley. He came on as a sub for 5 minutes. Do you think he expected that and just went for the money ?

Head turned by the money on offer ….. he surely didn’t think he was good enough to be a PL player - he’s more like someone who has played in the PL

Swansea City has completed the signing of Yannick Bolasie on a short-term contract, subject to EFL and international clearance.

The vastly-experienced 34-year-old winger bolsters head coach Michael Duff’s forward options, and joins having been a free agent following his departure from Turkish club Caykur Rizespor at the end of last season.

He will wear the number 17 shirt for the Swans and is in line to be involved in Wednesday’s trip to face Leeds United, provided approval is granted by the relevant football authorities.

Lyon-born Bolasie had spells with Rushden & Diamonds, Hillingdon Borough, Maltese club Floriana, Plymouth Argyle, Barnet and Bristol City before an outstanding four-year stint with Crystal Palace.

During his time at Selhurst Park he helped the Eagles secure promotion to the Premier League and reach the 2016 FA Cup final, where they lost to Manchester United.

He scored 13 goals in 144 appearances for Palace before joining Everton in 2016, only for injuries to disrupt his time at Goodison Park.

Loan spells with Aston Villa, Anderlecht, Sporting Lisbon and Middlesbrough followed, before Bolasie’s move to Turkey in 2021.

The forward, who has 50 DR Congo caps to his name, scored 19 goals in 53 league games for Rizespor, helping them secure an immediate return to the Turkish top-flight following relegation.

Well, at least he has managed one appearance for Burnley. How many have you managed ? <laugh>

Sorry, what rumours, which Chairman ?

Actually, I did once turn down an offer to move to a different Company as FD, despite the offer of higher pay, bonuses and possible share options <cheers>
I got offered the sound job on a show called Stomp in the West End a few years ago. It was a substantial amount more than the events I was doing at the time but I said no because I didn't want to move to London. It's good to see not everybody is driven by money alone.
